     ………is that too often you pick a player to go #1 overall, and at the draft he drops into the second round.  Just an observation of how this has happened (or may happen) the last 5 drafts:

    2010 Hassan Whiteside

    2011 Jeremy Tyler

    2012 Quincy Miller

    2013 Tony Mitchell

    2014 Dwight Powell (currently projected)

     Well yeah, stocks fluctuate, doesn’t mean we can’t have fun with it and project.

      I like projecting like anyone else, but I was just trying to point out how way off it can be a year or two out.  Goes to show how quickly a prospect can plummet or rise on the big board in a matter of months.

    I remember the hype surrounding Whiteside but I can’t recall a time that any of those other guys were projected #1 overall.

    Jeremy Tyler, Quincy Miller, Tony Mitchell and Dwight Powell were NEVER, not even for a second, a #1 pick consideration.  Not even in their own mock drafts.

     I will agree and disagree with this. I agree that those guys were rated way too highly, but this site was the only source doing so. Chad Ford never thought any of those guys were top 5 picks.
