d-grizzlyParticipantso today we’re going to discuss next summers free agency. 3 players in specific. We’re gonna talk about wade, lebron and bosh. Personally, out of those 3…i think wade has the highest possibility of staying home. I’m going to order below on possibility of who stays.
1st. Wade
2nd. Bosh
3rd. LebronWhy Wade? When you have growing talents in beasely and chalmers, and a very good friend in haslem…it makes it hard to just up and leave. I call sir wade’s bluff about bringing talent or he won’t sign an extension or sign back with the heat…just wait until next summer. J-O’neal’s 20+million contract will be gone…Wade knows this..so why would he leave a place he loves if miami can get somebody outta that 20 mill? Also, with the possibility of a 6 year contract…i think it becomes even harder to leave. Miami is a decent market..much better than cleveland’s or toronto’s. Next summer, I believe Miami will find a way to keep wade…and a attract an allstar and maybe another good player after that.
Bosh is put in a tough decision as well as wade. Raptors bring hedo. They draft derozan. They have a young growing talent in bargnani. Calderon is a very nice point guard. I think the bench is too empty though. I think Bosh has the 2nd amount of possibility of staying.
I think lebron…at the moment even..is weighing heavily on where his future will be. Can the cavaliers get it done when it counts? Can they help lebron when he needs the most help? It’s not looking very convincing that lebron would stay. It’s not that big of a market, and if the team once again fails him…guess who will leave. i think Lebron has the last amount of possibilty of staying in cleveland.
Also, I think either Lebron or bosh could end up in miami next summer. I think bosh in miami is more likely than lebron in miami. If miami convinced bosh to join…I think the next thing the heat should do is go for a center. t-chandler has a player option at the end of 09-10. How many people actually think he’d stay in charolette? Not me atleast…I say he opts out to go somewhere with a great amount of talent. Anyway, if the heat found a way to get bosh and chandler, a lineup of chalmers, wade, beasely, bosh, chandler, with haslem, cook etc. off the bench would look pretty nice….and would strongly contend.
I really have no idea where lebron would run off to. I’m dead serious when i make this statement though…cleveland has to make it to the finals and also contend…in order to keep lebron.

llperezI think Wade stays. I think Bosh would stay as well if Toronto makes the playoffs and they offer him a max deal. Lebron is a toss up. I kinda think he will leave just becasue he does’nt have a real strong group of young guys around him to grow with. Mo, Delonte, and Verajao are all young, but they are’nt exactly a championship supporting cast either.

QHaynes20I would not be shocked if Bosh stays.
I can see Wade and Lebron Leaving

QHaynes20Wade to me, is most likely to leave because Miami is not giving him nothing to work with

llperezI think he enjoys miami and having his own team. Obviously he needs a lot more help, so maybe he sits back next summer for a few weeks until miami signs another key player. But I just don’t really get the vibe from him that he is looking to leave.

gatorheelsParticipantIt is impossible to know but my best guess is this:
Bosh- He is going to stay in Toronto.
Wade- If Miami can land another good free agent Wade will stay. If they don’t get Wade help then he is going to Chicago.
LeBron- Can’t win it all in Cleveland. I think he goes to New York. Nets still have a slim chance.
Other teams could come into play but they are longshots. Teams like the Kings, TWolves, Rockets, Clippers will all have a lot of cap room.

d-grizzlyParticipantperez hits the head of the nail. Wade has never expressed interest in leaving miami. I’ve read plenty of comments from wade saying he loves miami and the team. He’s won a ring there. This is his team. Wade will most likely stay…99% chance of staying

QHaynes20I never said Wade WILL leave, I said I can see it.

SpencerIsHawesomeAm I crazy or did Wade say something about testing free agency if the team doesn’t compete or take steps forward or something i dont remember and i might be making this up but for some reason i tihnk he said that.

blazer_fan_foreverParticipantOnly thing I disagree with is that Bosh should be 1 and Wade should be 2.

llperezLebron seems like a business savy dude. I don’t think he will stay committed to clevland just for the sake of being loyal. If he knows that he has given his all for 8 seasons in cleavland, and it did’nt work out, then he will make the choice that is in his best interest without any feelings of regret. He also does’nt really come off like he is a hardcore cleavland local. He wears hats and roots for other teams. He always says how he wants to put Akron on the map, not necesarrily clevaland.
Bosh I think might like to leave, but deep down inside he does’nt want that pressure of going to a new city and having the weight of the franchise on his shoulders. He’s comfortable with toronto. He probably also knows deep down inside that he is not a truly elite franchise type player, so leaving would only put more focus on him and he would be under a bigger spotlight. He also laughed when asked if he was going to NY recently which could be a sign that he is not taking it too seriously.

llperezWade has kinda flipped flopped in the last few months. It was’nt long ago that he said he could see himself signing an extension this summer, why wait. But then he turned around and said he would need to see improvement and that he would wait. I think like any smart young player, he is gonna wait and weigh his options when the time comes. But realistically, I think he is just trying to put a little pressure on managment to get help. I don’t think it is as serious as it might sound to some of you.

QHaynes20My question is this, who is the guy who can keep Wade there?
I would say Boozer maybe but he always get hurt…maybe if the Clips wanna move a big salarie…Baron Davis?

RickyRubio9Participanthas the best team believe it or not, well best supporting cast, problem is he isn’t a number 1 option. Cleveland has some pretty good players as well and so does Miami, but I think Wade would stay, they can start at 0 contracts although they won’t because Beasley and Chalmers will be picked up. Basically Wade could pick his teammates so I think he stays. Bosh will probably stay unless he really wants to return to Texas where all three teams have some space, (Ginoboli, Dirk, and T-Mac all free agents). I think LeBron will leave if he brings that glorious title unless they can somehow trade for someone good.

llperezI think Joe Johnson will stay in Atl. So I would have to look around at the free agents for next year. Is’nt Amare gonna be free?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/20/2009 - 9:49am #203529
QHaynes20LOL, I think Joe Johnson test FA.
Amare Stoudemire would be a FA if he opts but another guy I thought about to deal is maybe Gerald Wallace or Kevin Martin?

d-grizzlyParticipantalso, dirk can opt out after the 09-10 season. look for dirk to opt out due to another disapointing post season.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/20/2009 - 9:59am #203539

RickyRubio9ParticipantNo way Dirk leaves Dallas though, Cuban will sell the whole team before that. I think Josh Howard can become one as well. That might help, but I think he has an option.
