 If cousins didn’t get hurt this team would be the 3 seed. They would also be the dark horse in the west. Rondo is a big game player and always kicks it up a notch in the playoffs. AD is playing out of his mind this year. In a 7 game series big men do matter and they would be a nightmare for anyone. AD and Cousins are arguably the best 5 and 4 in the league. Holiday is above average and I know they might not have gotten mirotic if Cousins didn’t go down but he can ball too. I’m not a Pelicans fan but I really hope cousin resigns atleast a 1 year deal and see what these guys can do togeather next year.

 They really lack depth. They have to find someone stupid enough to take Solomon Hill and then draft their ass off. They need 2nd rounders that will stick.. shooters on the wings, 3 and D should be all they look for.

 It’s hard to say. They’ve actually done much better since Cousins’ injury, haven’t they? Cousins is one of the most talented bigs in the league, but honestly I don’t know that I’d want him on my team. If he had Karl Malone’s consistent work ethic on the court he’d be an all-time great. Dude hasn’t even been to the playoffs yet. He checks out and quits—he’s not a great teammate thus far in his career..

What’s Mirotic’ winning percentage in games he’s played?  

Other than Gobert and the "top guys" Mirotic is one of the best "winners" in the league this year.

Yeah, I think you can find a better "fit" next to AD than Cousins at a LOT cheaper price.

Mirotic and AD is a good combo — maybe they use the Cousins money to go after something else, maybe PG13 AND a 3rd big.  

LeBron hasn’t put New Orleans in play — but MAN if he can win there that would be BIG.  Talk about a PARTY.

Ideal fit, too — LeBron/AD pick and rolls of death.  Mirotic as his new Kevin Love.  Jru Holiday at point. Rondo as another ball handler/passer.  I think they have some halfway decent utility wings, though nothing special.

That might ACTUALLY be a great fit for LeBron — and would be one of the most fun teams in the league, too.

I do agree that the Pels were thin on the Bench but we see that other than the Top 2 slots, the West was in a Flux this season

Teams like Utah, Portland & Minnesota that were good but not great the last few years, fighting for 7 & 8 seeds were all battling for the 3 & 4 seeds at diff points this season. Other teams like San Anotnio, OKC & the LA Clippers – ALL of whom were serious Title contenders just 2 or 3 years ago are now battling for their playoff lives 

So a Healthy New Orleans Pelicans were as good as Anyone from seed3 thru 10 in the West & w/ their Crazy size in th epaint, the Pelican swould have been a tough serious for even the Houstons Rockets & Golden State Warriors

 With a mirotic trade month earlier they might be a contender by now, that surely would prevent the bogy injury by reducing all the unbelievable load he had on himself that cause him to went down and maybe finish his career as a serious player..,

 I guarantee that if Boogie didn’t go down, Mirotic wouldn’t have been traded for. But I guess there’s no way to know for sure.
