TRC1991ParticipantI feel like with all the expectations they had this summer and the disappointing result of last season, the Nets really let down their fans by signing underwhelming consolation prizes like anthony morrow, outlaw, and johan petro…yuck…and they traded away Jianlian so it looks more like Kris Humphries will be the starter at the 4 for them…wow

Imaking6004ParticipantWell I dont know about Billy King but Danny Ferry is not a bad gm. It was unfortunate for him he had limited resources to surround LeBron. But thinking about it, he somehow acquired Mo Williams, Delonte West, Antwan Jamison, and Shaquille O’neal without losing anybody significant. Sure they didnt acquire star talent but with the limited resources he had in Cleveland, Ferry made the best out of a bad situation.

CameronParticipantI know I am in the minority buy I thought Danny Ferry did a pretty terrible job. He sacrificed cap space and draft picks for mediocre players in an attempt to give Lebron the talent he needed. I think the Cavs would have been much better off holding out for a legit 2nd option that they would be able to acquire via trade. I realize that’s much easier said than done, oh and then there’s the whole 42 million for Verejao thing….
On the other hand, any team that gets Kevin Pritchard is getting a stud. And I think he’d be in an excellent position in NJ given his style because he has an owner similar to Paul Allen (willing to spend) who won’t mind buying draft picks etc.

Hoops MaestroParticipantNew Jersey is having a very good off-season. Avery Johnson was the best coach out there on the street. Derrick Favors was a decent pick. Outlaw, Petro, Farmar, and Morrow are all solid pickups. They are on a path to the playoffs, dude.
