 Tonight at 9 PM on NBAtv, Shaq and Rick Fox are hosting the first ever Social Media Awards. They’ve been advertisting it for a while but I never went to actually see what they were voting. They have 6 categories and I’ll post the options for all the awards and I would love to hear who you would like to win. Plus, Shaq might make this funny so I’ll be tuning in if I don;t get caught up in an episode of Big Bang Theory by accident. 

The Social Slam Award

"Eye Opener" – Paul George Windmill

"Go Get It" – Gerald Green

"Pick Up The Pieces" – Blake rebound dunk over Gasol

"The Boss" – Blake murders Perkins

"Cheat Code" – LeBron over Lucas III

The EPIC Award

"KD for the win!"  – Durant GW as time expires to beat Mavs

"Linsanity Begins!" – Scores 38 against Lakers

"Melo Takes Over" – Ties the game and then wins it OT as Melo scores 43 pts

"Plenty of Points" – Wolves and Thunder battle in 2OT classic!

"4OT Classic" – Hawks beat Jazz in 4OTs

The LOL Award 

"Stick to Dunking" – Blake airballs 2 straight FTs

"Vinsanity. Not" – VC airballs fingeroll layup

"Worst. Layup. Ever" – Nick Young with a pathetic layup

"Wrong Way JaVale!" – JaVale McGee being JaVale McGee

"Out of Gas" – Corey Brewer gets the steal against the Kings and attempts a dunk but looses the handle and misses it. NO VIDEO available on YouTube (sorry)

The "Got Game" Award

"Eyes in the back" – Danilo Gallinari with an amazing behind the back pass. Mama mia! 

"Over the top" – LeBron over Lucas (this was nominated again)

"KD Beats Buzzer" – Again, Durant’s buzzerbeater against the Mavs

"Rudy Can’t Fly" – Rudy Fernandez with an amazing no look over the shoulder alley-oop to Faried!

"Blake Goes Big!" – Griffin over Perkins

The Triple Threat Award

This goes to the NBA Analyst that meets the criteria of former player, current analyst, and social relevance. Choices are:

There were more awards but quite frankly, this is taking forever lol. So, who y’all got? Should be fun to see the responses

 I May Be WRONG, but here are my choices

Social Slam Award = Gerald Green (very tough over the Blake and LeBron dunk but man, Gerald Green made himself relevant again after that windmill. He gets the slight edge for being an underdog lol)

Th EPIC Award = Wolves/Thunder 2OT classic! (Watching this game was amazing. It looked like the Wolves had it won but then Durant hits a clutch shot. Love hit clutch shots too. All in all, that was a great game, although defense was not mandatory that night)

The LOL Award = JaVale Being JaVale. This guy is pure comedic gold. What a cartoon!

Triple Threat Award = TOUGH decision between two Fab Fivers but I’m going with C-Webb because I like when he commentates.

I agree with you on all your picks. For the "Got Game" award, I’m not sure what I’d pick on that one, but the Rudy pass was sick, and Gallo’s pass was even sicker

I did not know Gerald Green was in the league again until he threw down that beauty. I was blown away…that could be one of the type 5 in game dunks of all time.

I’m not sure who will win what but if Gerald Green doesn’t win an award it’s rigged… that was the best dunk I’ve ever seen in a game. He caught it at like 9 or 10 o’clock and whipped it all the way back around while looking in the rim off an oop. PG’s windmill didn’t even look that good after watching Gerald Green’s windmill.
