hoopscopParticipantIt is Ivan Rabb, he will be a starter level 4 from year 2 on with allstar potential. Not only is he Young for his class, there is bodywise so much room to growth. Should go a the third pick.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI think Jakob Poeltl and Domatas Sabonis are actually being slept on rather hard, Poeltl could be a combo of both Lopez twins and Sabonis has 3rd big with starter potential, both are safer bets than Bender, I like Ivan Rabb but there seem to be alot of energy PF coming out with varying degrees of success, I definitely wouldn’t take him before Simmons(A Pf in the NBA) Poeltl or Sabonis, I may take him over Skal too because I wasn’t high on coming into Kentucky and Im still not sold, Rabb is my 4th rated PF/C
Simmons, Poeltl, Sabonis, Rabb, Johnson are my Top 5 Bigs with Skal, Stone and Zimmerman on the outside looking into, sure Skal has some potential and Stone-Zimmerman lool solid but I just like the Top 5 guys more…I didnt rank Bender because I feel like he should enter next year with a smaller crop of Big Guys, pulling out work for Saric and Porzingas too, he’s not a top 5 but could be next year with added strength…
Hell if anything Sabonis is underrated IMO

Hype MachineIm on the Rabb train too.
Dudes on here were roundly dismissing him as ‘dime a dozen’ whilst simultaneously hypping Skal as top 5 just a couple of days ago.
My other low-key stud is Venky Jois. All time leader in pts and blks at Eastern Washington

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantI was guy who said referenced Rabb as a "Dime of dozen" prospect which I still think he is. You can look at any roster around the league and find those type of high moter power forwards. Even in this draft you have a guy like Johnson who brings the exact same traits with more speed and a slighter frame

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI hope the raptors look elsewhere. I don’t want another Ed Davis on our team

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI wouldn’t say hes underrated. He is not a great natural athlete and is still developing his offensive game at this point. He hasn’t shown the ability to hit mid-range shots consistently and his post game is still developing. He does have a good motor and feel for the game for a player his age. I think there is definitely room to grow. I think the bosh comparisons are a tad generous though. Hes not as athletic or skilled as bosh was at the same age. I expect him to go somewhere in the 8-17 range but to take him any higher than that would be a bit of a gamble imo.

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantEd Davis is the player I often think of when I watch Rabb. I remember that year scouts talked about Ed Davis as the only prospect that could challenge John Wall for the top pick boy were they wrong. People will bring up the fact that Rabb is a year younger than his class but his game hasn’t really grime since that and he’s been playing up certain age levels at these high profile AAU events since his was in 8th grade. I still remember when he and Diamond Stone faced off as freshman and his game is still pretty much the same now as it was then

Tap892ParticipantPeople who think he’s just an energy guy clearly down watch him. He’s a good rebounder and defender, and he really has a feel for how to score in the post. He’s not a superstar, but he can be a really good player

mamadouParticipantYep that’s pretty sad, when you don’t see the skills, the upside in this kid…
He’s hidden in Cal, PT, touches.
Terrible comps with Ed Davis, Davis made a career without the ball, running, jumping, 3 foot buckets, never developped a post game or a 12 footer, can’t shoot a FT either, drafted as 21YO sophomore.
Raps nation, should be happy to have the opportunity to draft a legit starter in this league when they’re playing back ups…
He’s a fit with a lot of lotto teams, from the Suns to kings(without a single PF), to the raps, magic, bucks, even the celts as a project or the wolves as a 3rd big for 2 spots.

Jdean24ParticipantI’m going too go a little deeper and say a guy like Perry Ellis at Kansas. Had gotten better every year. Hits the three, great face up player and has all kinds of moves down low. Alot more explosive then he appear. Could be a early too mid round second rounder and too the right team a very nice find. Not the best rebounder for a power forwardsmall forward but is very efficient player.
Others I like that don’t get as much praise as others..
Melo Trimble-Maryland
Thomas Bryant-Indiana

cjwParticipantThe guy averages 3 blocks a game and can shoot 3s (35% on 3 a game). Also just started playing bball at age 19 so huge potential.

OhCanada-ParticipantPascal Siakam seems like a guy that can thrive as a role player from day one. His ability to run the floor, rebound, and defend as an energy guy reminds me of Jamychal Green as long as his jump shot is legit.
Domantas seems to be a guy that will impress during workouts. He will need to show he has perimeter skills and show off his high character. He is sort of a tweener at this point but in three positions. He needs to prove he is laterally quick enough to gaurd in space and he has a good jumper. Also seems a bit flat footed despite his great footwork and coordination. Could be a dominant small ball C offensively if he puts it all together. His post skills are nasty and he is more than strong enough yo bang with anyone in the NBA. Length and explosiveness maybe an issue but I guarantee if he goes to a good franchise he will develop into a household name.
Dorian Finney-Smith is a guy I have always been intrigued by. He has really figured it out this year and has gone way under the radar in Florida. The guy is doing everything and he reminds me of a Trevor Ariza type glue guy who can be a 3 and D type player yet still create scoring opportunities for his team and play some PF. Maybe even Rondae Hollis Jefferson with a jumpshot yet less upside.
Isaiah Whitehead isn’t sturring much up in the mock draft communities but there’s a lot to like. He doesn’t get too much attention playing for Seton Hall but he has had a very steady season and performs well when the lights are on including going toe to toe with Kris Dunn. Whiteside is an athletic combo gaurd with good size as a PG but bad size as a SG. He needs to prove he can be a fulltime PG. He will likely stay another year with Seton Hall because he has had a lot of trouble finishing at the rim this year despite his athleticism. Don’t be surprised if Seton Hall and Whitehead make some noise in the tournament and he gets mentioned as a potential 1st round pick.

HitsterParticipantDeyonta Davis is a name I haven’t noticed this high on mocks before nor seen him discussed on here previously, is he someone who has been overlooked until now.
Ivan Rabb has been on the draft radar for a couple of years moving up and down the mocks.
I do think that Toronto need a PF or an SF/PF in this draft and this was discussed on an earlier topic. Rabb is the sort of guy they might workout but there will be a load of guys that the Raptors look at with the lesser of Denver or Knicks picks.
