    The Heat this year are:
    26th in PPG
    17th in OPPG
    30th in Rebs
    30th in FGA
    24th in 3P%
    26th in STLS
    28th in BLKS
    29th in TOs
    23rd in OP3P%
    27th in PT Diff.

Does this look like a good team to you because it sure as hell isn’t.

This team even if healthy cannot beat the Hornets and the Wizards at all and both teams are missing Terry Rozier and Russell Westbrook respectively. When they do win, it’s not even convincing. Man, they lost their culture and I don’t know if there’s a way to fix it given how terrible they are.

Yeah they are really struggling. Jimmy Butler was out for a while to begin the season and Herro’s been out though and they are running on some 4th winds because of being in the finals last year. I think this team can improve. It’s all in having their team play together as one unit for the full 48. Your point is made though. Right now they stink.

This really is a season where patience is required. A number of teams, like the Heat, has been hit hard, but they are starting to get to the other side. It might mean the Heat end up with a lesser seed, the Grizzlies might not have enough room to recover to get into the playoffs, the Wizards might not have ever been good but a couple weeks off followed by a heavily compressed schedule placed them at the bottom of the league.

For the draft, it actually makes assessing players a bit different, because has anyone watched teams come off a covid-19 pause? I don’t have the numbers, and haven’t tracked every team, but teams have looked awful. Some took a couple games to get back, and then others longer. Michigan might be the best team in the country, and beat Wisconsin by 23 a month ago, but I am fairly certain they are going to look terrible tomorrow in the rematch. How does the committee assess that for the tournament? How are teams who assess prospects going to weigh it for players who actually got it, and in many cases have been poor in their return?
