While the Sixers remain in a sign-and-trade mode concerning unrestricted free agent Andre Miller, a source indicated that Ed Stefanski has also been monitoring a situation involving Golden State Warriors free agent guard C.J. Watson and the Orlando Magic. The source confirmed that Watson had earlier rejected a 1-year, $2.3 million offer from the Sixers. If Watson were not to sign with the Magic, it is possible that the Sixers could make a fresh offer. Derrick Powell, one of Watson’s agents, said Watson is working out regularly in Las Vegas, where he makes his home.
Malik Allen Headed to Denver?

Source: Travis Heath of HOOPSWORLDThe Denver Nuggets are on the verge of acquiring forward Malik Allen from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Sonny Weems and Walter Sharpe according to multiple sources close to the team. Allen gives the Nuggets another big-man who comes at a relatively cheap rate as he is scheduled to make just $1.3 million next season. The move will allow the Nuggets to get another much needed post player without having to dip into any of the Traded Player Exceptions the team currently owns.
Flipping Sharpe and Weems into Allen makes sense for the Nuggets given the fact neither was likely to play many minutes for Denver next season. In Allen, the Nuggets get a veteran player who will be a nice insurance policy.

Source: Doug Smith of The Toronto Star“The moves that have been made have been systematic and well thought out,” said (Bryan) Colangelo. “This is another piece of the puzzle.”
The GM still has another couple of moves to make.
He holds out hope he can bring back former Raptors Carlos Delfino and Rasho Nesterovic to fill out the roster, but said he has backup plans in case that doesn’t happen.
Colangelo also raised the possibility of finding a new home for point guard Roko Ukic, although the GM and coach Jay Triano both think Ukic could benefit from a season playing sporadically as the third stringer rather than being force-fed minutes as he was last season.
