With the Lakers jumping in for Carmelo Anthony, I say "conceed" and move on. Bynum is a overrated value piece and Denver will have to jump on that if LA is offering him.

Here’s what I’m doing if I was GM Donnie Walsh from today on

    1. Move Randolph for a 1st round pick ( Portland is believed to want him and since they have 2 1st rounders, one from New Orleans, they could look to move the latter for him)

With that, the Knicks have 2 1st round picks and could be ready to go get a better player. If I was Donnie Walsh, I call Golden State and Sacramento and offer this deal:

Danillo Gaillinari, Omri Casspi 2011 1st round pick, 2013 1st round pick to Golden State

    Raymond Felton to Sacramento

Jason Thompson, 2012 2nd rounder (Milwaukee’s) from Sac and Stephen Curry to New York

Why? The Warriors get a wing shooter for that run and gun, you get 2 1st round picks and cure the Monta-Curry backcourt. Sacramento upgrades the point guard position and keep the 1st round pick to upgrade the SF/PF spot in the draft and New York adds a big along with Stephen Curry, who could be a star in D’Antoni’s O.

    Draft

1st round pick- Markiff Morris, PF, Kansas ( He reminds me alot of Shawne Williams in the fact of he has a big body, yet can hit the 3. I feel he can bang in the L with some guys but needs time )

2nd round pick- Chandler Parsons, SF, Florida ( Many expect Mike Miller lite, he could be a good rotation guy in time to replace Gallo. Don’t underestimate Walsh and those 2nd rounders!)

    Offseason

Resign Wilson Chandler (5 yrs, 40 mil)

Sign Joel Pryzbilla ( 2yrs, 4 mil with Team option)

    Sign Jonas Jerebko ( 3yrs, 8 mil)

So going into 2011-2012 season, the Knicks look like

Starters: Stephen Curry, Landry Fields, Wilson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire, Jason Thompson

Bench rotation: Timofey Mozgov, Jonas Jerebko, Chandler Parsons and Toney Douglas

Bench Warmers: Markieff Morris, Joel Pryzbilla, Andy Rautins, Bill Walker

So the trade is basically Felton and Gallinari in exchange for Curry and Thompson? It’s not a bad trade actually but I don’t know if it’s one the Knicks NEED to make, especially at the level Felton is playing at and the player that Gallinari will be down the road. The Knicks don’t need to give up any first round picks either. Curry may be more appealing, but there is no denying that Felton has outplayed him offensively this year while continuing to be a solid defensive point guard- something Curry is not.

I think if the W’s pick between Monta or Curry, I think they give up on Curry. Also Jerebko got hurt. I wouldnt’ be shocked if he got a nice deal and Detroit doesn’t match it.

Interesting trade, but doesn’t G state already have D Wright at the 3? I guess GS could go 1 – Ellis, 2 – Wright, and 3 – Gallo. That would be fun to watch, but I dunno if that would generate many wins.

Why trade Felton, what has he done wrong?

Also it doesn’t seem like the Knicks will move Gallo, if for anyone it would be for Mello.
