knicksfan7ParticipantNate is the Starting at Point Guard tonight for the Knicks, and Larry Hughes has regained his role back, and D’antoni also stated he wants Toney Douglas to get Playing Time. Do you guys think it is the end of Chris Duhon for a while??? I can only hope. I think if Nate plays the way he plays for the next 20 games or so, the Knicks have the opportunity to be back in the playoff hunt.

DWadeBIWParticipantThis is really good move that the Knicks are making because Nate can actually score unlike Duhon. I think we won’t be seeing him much for a while and Hughes imo should have had never been benched for that long. And YES Douglas needs mo PT he’ll actually help the team with Defense n give them fast break opportunities bcuz he likes to play the passing lanes.

knicksfan7ParticipantIf it were up to me I would start Nate-Hughes-Gallo-Chandler-Lee, though I am fine with having Hughes and Douglas come off the bench and having the regular lineup switching duhon and nate. Though, I think Toney Douglas is going to be what Nate was off the bench. I think the next 3 games, and the 3 after the all-star break they have some tough games against athletic point guards (Jennings, Rose 2x, Tyreke Evans, and Westbrook) Duhon gets outplayed and unathletic compared to all of them, while Nate gives up size on evans, rose, and westbrook, he can keep up with them as well as Hughes.

DanEboyParticipantMaybe they are trying to showcase Nate for a trade by giving him more PT before the deadline. What was the reason for burying him on the bench for so many games anyway? I can’t remember

knicksfan7ParticipantD’antoni didn’t like the way he was playing from taking erratic jumpers and careless turnovers.

knicksfan7ParticipantD’antoni was right in benching Nate he did do it for too long, but the team had a good record like 9-5 in the games he did not play, so it was hard to bring him back when the team was winning.

DWadeBIWParticipantwe’ll see how this line-up plays out the next few games but I do see a lot of match-up problems with nate starting.

M-DYMESParticipantI agree with moving Duhon to the bench 100%. I see him as like the change of pace back (NFL), but in the nba. He succeeds when the Knicks try to pickup the tempo and fastbreak. I don’t see him as a starter but I think he could be a solid role player.

knicksfan7ParticipantUnfortunately, the knicks have no one else. As for matchups I feel safer with Nate guarding Russell Westbrook or Tyreke Evans than Duhon because Nate won’t get blown by them.

the I in winParticipantd’antoni also didn’t like how he celebrated after every “nice” play he made.
