Remember when everyone said the Heat wanted to face the Celtics because they wanted a "challenge"? Looks like they got it. I know they haven’t had Bosh, but none the less they’re one game from not getting back to the finals. A lot of people did what Rudy Tomjanovich said not to do.

I agree Boston has the bigger heart but the Heat without Bosh is a big deal. Imagine if Boston didn’t have Pierce or Garnett in the series that would make a huge difference. He’s an All Star for a reason and there only big guy thats taller than Lebron.

 

Also on a side note does anyone else feel like the officials are getting to the point were there frustrating the players more than the fans.( I mean the playoffs as a whole not just this series?)

I do agree with you but the Miami and Boston series would be over if they called the series correctly! Officiating shouldn’t make or break you though.

 Those vets on the celtics are ready to play. KG, Ray Allen, Pierce oh and that guy Rondo have played so well. They are all really just showing their competitiveness.. Lebron, Wade and Bosh are probably better,  and are all great players.. But tonight the entire Celtics team just wanted it more, even Pietrus made some shots and continued his fine defensive play…

Lets leave injuries out of this. Honestly the Celtics have been one of the more injured teams this year loosing 4 rotation players since the start of the season. Something tells me they wouldn’t mind having Jeff Green, who averaged 10ppg for them last year off the bench, and Bradley who was our best perimeter defender who also shot 40% from three. Not to mention their only big men depth in Wilcox and O’Neil. 

Every player is paid, and should be ready to play. Look at players like Dooling and Cook for OKC. They are making impacts in the short runs they’re getting.

Bosh is a big part to the Heat’s success, but when you have Lebron James and Dwyane Wade on the same team, there should be no excuses for not being able to get the job done.

The Celtics weren’t champions the last 3 years.

Some of that is overrated how’d the Mavs do they were champions last year and they got swept in the 1st round.

A lot has to do with execution especially down the stretch.

Those are unfair statements because you wouldn’t trade Bosh for the 4 guys combined so thats ridiculous. And to say having James and Wade is no excuse is BS because two guys vs a vetern team with the biggest guy at 6’8 is a huge difference especially when he is the point forward. If the Heat didn’t have Bosh they would have been the 3 or 4 seed and would never have been a favorite to win it. People underestimate height in the NBA. Thats how all these guys are drafted so high when there 7′. SO when your playing haslem at center against a long guy like garnett thats a major advantage on the little things that people don’t want to realize.

It’s as simple as Heat with Bosh win in 5, Heat without Bosh lose in 6. I’m not complaining about it but just pointing out simple facts. I feel for the NBA though because if the celtics make the finals it hurts the ratings more than people will realize, especially if it would be the spurs. People will watch the Heat even if it’s to root against them.

People on this site were calling for this team to be "blown up" around the trade deadline.. I knew that injuries would be a factor in these playoffs, I just thought it was going to be Wade injured, not Bosh.  NEVER count out the Celtics.

I have no sympathy for the Heat, and for all the excuses about Bosh, they didn’t seem to care that he wasn’t playing in game 1, and showed how well they could play without him. For me, the turning point in the series was this moment right here;

It pushed the Celtics past the point of fear and into pure aggression, and it has paid off. KG in particular has lifted his game immensely after that moment. I guarantee you KG doesn’t get that clutch block in game 5 if Lebron didn’t do that in game 1.

Dan Gilbert might be right, the Cavs could win a ring before Lebron James does.

Looking at this compared to last year, remeber how the Celtics owned Miami in the regular season and Miami blem em outta the gym in 5 in the semis…Its making Chris Bosh look that much more valuable. People want to rip on him, but the guy did what no other star players really want to do in this league…become a role player and let the ego go.

ya never know what you got til its gone. KG is taking Wade out of the series now because hes a 1 man zone.

With all that said, and with the sky falling in Miami, who would be at all suprised if the Heat come out and win by 15 the next 2 games and make us all eat crow?

Every game was close and Miami has to learn to finish.  Celtics has been together longer and they know how to finish.  This series could easily be 3 2 in Miami favor or 4 1 in Miami’s favor.  They let 2 games theys should have won get away from them and now they have to get one on the road to force a game 7 at home.

It is possible but it will be tough.  Bosh will have to play a lot better than he did today.

Miami made just 1 or 2 stops in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.

They didn’t box out or get to loose balls either it really hurt them.

Not gonna blame Wade or Lebron neither had a bad game.

Spoelstra was awful and not playing Bosh in the 4th qtr really that was a terrible move.

The team relaxed too much in the 3rd qtr with a 9 pt. lead and that cost them too.

@BiggySmalls; it isn’t making Chris Bosh look so valuable as much as it’s making Rondo look like the MVP.

Aren’t we all forgetting that little fall he took which effectively ended their chances of beating Miami? Last season’s loss means nothing because of Rondo’s injury. This isn’t Kendrick Perkins going down against LA, it’s Rajon Rondo.

Also, I honestly don’t think Lebron has the mental toughness to ever win a championship, he shows flashes of brilliance, but can never consistently play up to his talent level and it hurts his teams.

Rondo was the huge difference last year.  He doesn’t always play MVP caliber ball, but when he does, he’s unreal, making or having a hand in absolutely every play.  It’s damn Magic-like when he’s on.  If he could ever learn to truly bring it every night…  I guess we’ll have to settle for him going even with Lebron and outplaying Wade for the series, though!
