I think he could warrant unbelievable trade value if a team wasn’t sold on him or had too many at his position, so they could get better value and I doubt anybody else is really a legit number 1 pick candidate. Who else would you take? It is poissbly the closest thing to a lock since when Lebron came out. Last year was kind of split till the end between Beasley and Rose, Durant and Oden before that. He is the undisputed 1. But then again, so was Kenyon Martin. Martin might have been a great pro before he had microfracture surgery on both knees and with a better attitude. He will be a great player in the league, and nobody else in this class looks like that right now.

Depending on works outs, I could see Sacramento take a point guard with the first pick if they can work out a trade.

at first i would say sac but reports out of there is they will draft him anyway then prob trade thomas or spence because neither of them are bangers and they would really like at least one of there big men to be bangers

I think Sacramento could go with Rubio or Griffin with the #1 pick and it would benefit them either way. Rubio would be an instant upgrade over Udrih, and Griffin could start over any of their 4-men from day 1.

Minnesota already has Love and Jefferson at the 4, so I could see them passing on Griffin if they get the #1 pick to either draft Rubio or trade a spot down to get Thabeet.

They would be wise to trade don’t or package Love and Miller in a trade for a point and a big body.

They should trade Hawes and Kevin Martin plus their pick to ….maybe the Hawks and see if they can’t get J. Smith & their 2nd rnd. pick or Al Horford.

To be honest…im waiting to see the NBA camp measurements. If Griffin is not 6-10, i dont take him 1st. If he is: I WANT HIM

if hes not…i honestly look a Thabeet. 7-3 and he excellent on D. If a team like NJ or OKC gets the 1st pick…i think they may look at Thabeet.

if he isnt 6’10 and is 6’8 instead who cares…you dont play basketball with youre head..the big thing is a players reach…either way im still taking him because hes just that good period..people kill me with the ( well if hes really not this or that tall0 like it really matters when a player is that good..just ask all these 6’7-6’8 players in the nba today who are playing well none of which were as dominate as blake is

Griffin’s a very safe #1 pick. Teams know what they’re getting if they draft him, instead of drafting on potential. I think he’s a lock for #1, but I could definitely see certain teams trading him for a current player if he doesn’t fit with their roster.

he’s obviously not 6’10, but no one in the NBA listed at 6’10 is actually 6’10, so he’ll be fine. & i would agree that he’s a lock to go #1.

Always draft for talent not team need ( see Portland in the 1984 draft ). Griffin is the only player in this years draft that I see being a potential all star during his career.

No doubt he could be great!! But its not a clear cut decision. There are other player’s to consider. Workouts havent started and expose or clear up many misconceptions. My first pick would be John Wall if he tests the draft, and he should be eligable based on nba rules. A star!!! And what about Rubio who was Spains best player in the olympics and is only turning 19, pg’s are huge now in the nba. Them and centers like Thabeet who could blow people away at the workouts. So lets wait and see…..

If the kings get Griffin i can see them trading for a top line point guard, Udrih just isnt starting material. Wonder what mike bibby is doing these days?
