Donnie Walsh may have been let go earlier last month but are his days as head of Knick management over?

I can’t help but feel that all of this is a ploy by the Knicks to gain an upperhand during the lockout. With Walsh a free agent, he is not only able to maintain contact with Knick players BUT ALSO is able establish contact with prospective Knick players and negotiate there eventual arrival in 2012 (e.g. Chris Paul, Dwight Howard and Deron Williams). That is a huge advantage that other teams don’t have because of David Stern’s mandated silence between franchises and players. So what do you guys think? Is it possible that this is why Donnie Walsh was not re-signed?

he didn’t resign buuuuuuuuuuuuut he is a consultant for the knicks and is getting paid by the knicks. so it is still illegal for him to talk to any players.  he can not contact any players. he is still a knick employee but in a different capacity. isaiah thomas can but we don’t want that to happen right. he’ll just f*ck things up majestically. next thing you know is we’ll end up with elton brands and iguodalas contracts.

Igoudala is making too much money. unfriendly to the salary cap. i rather have w. chandler than igoudala. chandler knows the system, knows ny, and will be sixth man of the year. i think he can play shooting guard like paul pierce (body wise). if he can develop a quick midrange jumper. Money! iggy deserved about 55 mil. no more.

donnie walsh seems to like the no names in the draft and build on them. landry fields, iman Schumpert, jordan hill, gallinari jerome jordan, rautins was big in europe and nbadraft.net people. only.
