I guess not players say things all the time to the media just to downplay the subject when they asked kobe the importance of playing the celtics during the playoffs he said its jus another team but after they won he said he hated everything green you cant bieleve everything you hear

okay, im gonna break it down from my perspective.

Jordan and kobe and many other GREAT athletes dont always want to have fun. In fact, they often are negative and sometimes unpleasant people to be around. The reason is becasue they have this inner desire to to be the best. They dont take enjoyment out of the little things. Its title or nothing and as soon as they get one, its back to work for the next. They will fight a teammate, complain with managment and sulk when things dont go their way. No dancing before games or discussing with opponents about maybe hooking up as teammates in the future. It’s seriousness all the time. The game is bigger to them then having fun.

Lebron wanted to have fun. He decided to play with his friends becasue it was the easiest way to winning and enjoying life.

That does not mean lebron isnt great or isnt a competitor. Its just what drives him is a little different then what drove those other guys. Lebron’s legacy can still be cemented as one of the greatest becasue he is just plain and simply that good. But the difference in his personality compared to kobe and michael is obvious and thats what people are jumping on him about whether it is fair or not. But in Lebrons mind, if he wins and has fun and makes money, the other stuff about being the best probably wont matter much to him becasue he will have done things his way and will say fuk off to the critics.

how can u say lebron doesnt wana be the best?!? every single player wants to be the best! so he wants to win a championship for sure and not be like allen iverson or karl malone who late in their HOF carreers do anything for a ring, he can still be one of the best but he wont have the numbers to back it up, his skill level will still be one of the best of all time and with the 7 years he has had, they are clearly the best…so now he wants championships and you say he doesnt wana be the best? he wants to win more then anything not just put up the best numbers of all time!

What I don’t get is why everybody attacks Lebron about how he stacks up against Kobe or Jordan. What the heck does he care? Thats some media rivalry we have invented for him. He won’t ever play against Jordan so what is the point in criticizing his game and leadership compared to Jordan? Kobe is a little different because he is in the same generation. Let him play ball, and have his career unfold the way it should.

The descicion junk was in bad taste but he probably raised a fortune for charity?

He didn’t have that many options. Does the way Cleveland, ownership all the way down to the fans, has handled this paint a picture of a place you want to play? The best player they EVER put next to him were Mo and Antawn. Thats atrocious, it took 7 years to get inadequeate talent in place.

Chicago has 1 or two good years, but they can’t afford Lebron, Boozer, and to Resign Rose and or Noah. Not as much long term stability, and then he REALLY would be in Jordan’s shadow.

The Clippers lol. The Nets are the Russian Mob, and too many question marks. It all hinges on what could be with them instead of what is.

He is coming to South Beach with the third best player in the league and another top 15-20 player in the league, not to mention one of the best shooters (Miller) and glue guys (Haslem) in the league. This team has 5 years or so to be in tact and really win alot of rings.

Why do you do this to yourself? I have only been on here for a few months but every time you post something it is very stupid and i get mad!
