basagliaParticipantI just laughed when I saw the updated mock. I think we all know the wheels are spinning in the minds of scouts and execs. Grant Hill comparison? LMAO. More like a softer Lavell Blanchard. More like a taller Lawrence Moten. More like a less fluid Felipe Lopez.
He is the biggest scouting misfire SINCE LOPEZ. His feet are slow and he’s mechanical. That cannot be fixed. Now everyone wants to blame it on Larry Drew, as if Harrison isn’t supposed to be more than capable of creating his own shots to the tune of 18 ppg. Why blame Drew because Barnes can’t shake a defender?
By the way, don’t bother moving Nolan Smith up anymore. Other sites have been consistent. Don’t be late to the party and fake like you knew it all along.

McDunkinI keep telling Aran that Chen Jianghua aka The Chinese A.I. is the #1 pick this year and i would like to post my article on the subject….but he keeps saying he is too busy right now and to never call him when Glee is on again.

SteroidParticipantIf Terrence Jones keeps playing like this, I could definitely see him top 3 at least. I’m not going to say he will be a surefire 1st or 2nd pick because his play can fluctuate between now and the tournament; however, if he stays somewhere consistent to the level he’s playing, he’ll definitely be top 3.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantYep I’ve been firmly on the Terrence Jones bandwagon for awhile now. And I think Kyrie Irving is a better prospect that Barnes as well.
The way Jordan Hamilton and Kemba Walker have been playing could move them into the top 8, top 10 player range as well.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI think Perry Jones should be #1. I agree Barnes won’t be the #1, but I don’t think Grant Hill is that bad of a comparison. And nor was Lopez’s comparison. If your talking about Brook Lopez that is. If its Robin than yeah I see your point.

OhCanada-Participant3/4’s of this site should be ashamed for constantly comparing him to Grant Hill, and Carmelo Anthony. I was getting negatives dropped on me plenty for disagreeing with those comparisons. You guys dont understand Grant Hill was way better then Melo ever was, and Barnes will never be as good as Melo.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantShocking, a Duke fan takes issue with the praise of a Tar Heel. Who could have seen that coming?

stanford hoopsno he has not played that bad but he hasnt played good enough to be considered a number one pick
grant hill was not better then melo as a freshman but he was better when he was in his prime. not the pure scorer melo was but better allaround player….or was he, i dont think he lead his team past the second round of the playoffs ever but i could be wrong
Right now imo the number one pick is in the air. perry jones can get it off of potential
irving could possibly get it if he has a derrick rose type ncaa tournament
Barnes can get the top spot back if he steps up his play
kanter can get it off of his usa vs the world play and no one has been able to watch him to see what his weaknesses are
And no one should be suprised nolan smith is moving up….hes a maryland product

Im Your FatherParticipantI love Nolan Smith’s game, and not just as a Duke fan. He is one of those guys who isn’t really a true point guard, he isn’t the most athletic or the best shooter, but he is good at everything and just an all around baller.
