jaysmith1987ParticipantHas anyone noticed that alot of players who played on team usa this year have had tremendous improvement. I think it might be that they gained valuable fundamentals from coach k. It would make alot of sense because most players on the team played two years or less of college ball they had chance to learn from one of best college coaches and they soaked it up and now came back to the nba on fire.

Im Your FatherParticipantI wouldn’t say it’s fundamentals, I doubt he taught them skills they didn’t already know. But what he does preach is intense defense ALL THE TIME. Which is something very important and one of the main reasons that Duke is good year in and year out. Even when Duke has less talent than they normally do, they still can be very successful, because they go all out on defense. Very, very rarely is a Mike Krzyzewski team outworked. These players are getting older, so naturally they will progress, but perhaps some of his intensity rubbed off them.

HitsterParticipantCoach K is a true legend and if he can make NBA superstars even better then it says something about his ability. His teams like any great coach’s are always very well set up and whilst they may not be the most talented they often get the best results as the previous poster just said.

JJeff6ParticipantLook at Eric Gordon, hes an elite gaurd in the league right now, even more so than last year, and you gotta think coach K might have had something to do with it. His game just seemed to evolve over the summer.

Ghost01ParticipantLook at how many of those players (Rose, Westbrook, KD, Gordon, Curry, etc) were getting BY FAR the best coaching of thier lives with Coach K. Thats what the difference was, in my opinion.

QUINCEY HODGES1I think its the extra confidence that they gain. The players dont really change much about there game but they do it with alot more confidence which is a very big part of producing

Im Your FatherParticipantI love K more than anyone, but that is a pretty dumb article. Of course the players on that team are doing well, they were picked for the team because they were good.

darius3milesParticipantYeah, but like you said, his intensity rubbed off on them.
