As I read a article on the bucks I realized they have the talent and the coach to best the bulls. They are deep have scoters and a top notch defensive team. They look slot like bulls. Let’s break it down

rose is better then Jennings because of experience but talent wise Jennings out played him the first time while rose out played him the second. Now we know rose is better but it’s not a huge gap and Jennings is a better defender although it still amazes me why rose defense isn’t better because it’s not like he doesn’t try

salmons is better then brewer or korver
maggette is a better scorer then deng but deng is better at everything else. But the bucks have better backups here
boozer is better then gooden although gooden is a better defender then you have taj vs mutuba or whatever the ucla defenders name is
bogut is better then Noah but Noah is tough and a pretty good defender

If Micheal redd returns to even half his old form that’s a very big plus

now think about this not as a d.rose or bulls fan but as a basketball fan. They match up very well. This should be a great battle for that four spot

I rather wait and see on the court. To me, the Bulls are better then the Bucks and it really isin’t close.

The Bucks are somewhat a deeper team and have a good advantage on the wings scoring wise but defensive wise? I think the Bulls can handle them.

Another factor: Derrick Rose was double teamed alot last season in Bulls game I saw. They either double teamed him on the perimeter or kept another defender inside for him. You cannot do that now with Boozer inside. I think we see another gear from Rose this season.

Also, the Salmons/Brewer thing is iffy to me. I think Brewer can lock Salmons down.

The Bucks have to prove there better then the Hawks first.

The bucks season will depend on Bogut, and his health. Without Bogut all the Bucks are is a perimeter shooting team.

I’m not sure if you’ve watched brewer but he’s a good defender but not a lock down defender by any means( I’ve watched him for years while out here in Utah)

I watched the games and rise didn’t get doubled more then any other player. That’s the way the bucks play defense if there isn’t a shooter out there which will continue to be the case with brewer out there since is jumper is god awful

just like rose will step up his game so will Jennings and bogut and we have to wait and see with the bulls just like the bucks since they have new players and a new coac. And the fact you can pretty much count on boozer missing games and not playing awhole lot of defense

It’s not like bogut is expected to miss the season or slot of games if any. He’s already playing pickup games now

Larry Sanders really surprised me in Summer League, I don’t think he’ll get a ton of minutes this season, but man I feel they got a steal in him. I think the Bucks are a legit contender for the East this seasonl, but I think they’re gonna get even better with their young nucleus

You don’t have to be a lockdown defender to lock a player down. I like Salmons but I feel Brewer’s length and defensive ability could stop Salmons.

You also forgot two pieces. James Johnson and C.J. Watson. Johnson isin’t a offensive player but he’s alright on defense and could get rebounds. Watson is a scorer. I think he’s someone who could get like 8-11 points per game next season.

ExactLy. I never thought about how good they could be but now that I think about they are gonna potential be a big problem just like the bulls will potentially be.

The thing with the bulls is that shooting guard position. I like brewer but he hurts you with his lack of shooting and korver with his defense. I think Rudy fernandez is overrated but If they get him that’s a big pick up because he can hit the outside shot. Hopefully noahs defensive intensity rubs off on boozer because if you’re center is working hard on defense and you are thr power forward then you know you have to step it up

SonJohnson hasn’t proven he should be mentioned. But I did forget to mention the euro player for the bucks. Evans I think. He started and played very well

also salmons is a 20ppg scorer and only lock down defenders pretty much would give him
problems. I’ve watched Ronnie for years and less talented offensive players get buckets on him so I doubt salmons should have a big problem with him. I may be mistaken but I think he always plays well against brewer

No way is Gooden better then Boozer defensively. Boozer is the big difference here. Also Rose is alot better then Jennings especially in effiecency. You talk about how the bucks have depth at Sf well Chicago has depth at Sg.

Im not cheering for either team, but Chicago has a slight advantage. Only thing I would give to Milwaukee is the fact that they have a true 7 foot C but he is injury prone…

John Salmons never averaged 20 ppg in his career.

Johnson didn’t do alot but he isin’t terrible overall. He’s in his 2nd season and should be mentioned at least. Then, you didn’t explain not mention C.J. Watson.

Also, something I didn’t see you mention: Rose is a better shooter then Jennings.

Overall, I guess we wait and see. I don’t see the Bucks even getting close to the Bulls. The Bulls should be the 3rd seed while the Bucks look to be the 5th seed, 4th at best for me.

Johnson didnt really live up to expectations in summer league. I expect for him to play a little more, but mainly chipping in on defense, blocking shots and rebounding. He showed very little improvement on offense this summer.

That’s what I said originally. He is not a offensive guy but on defense, he’s 6-9 and can defend and rebound alright from what I saw when he was in a couple games. Something to take account to me.

Yeah, I think you were spot on with your Watson and Johnson predictions, but I think Watson will see more consistant playing time. He has a role with that team right now. I think Johnson’s time will be a little more inconsistant because he has yet to find a nitch with the Bulls, or maybe he has in training camp, but he’s a young guy with potential so I think he’ll still be brought around pretty slowly.

for drew gooden, has this guy not been waived from teams. Gooden is nothing more than a decent backup PF.

Gooden is a weird player to me, I think he is on the verge of being a starter, but isn’t super effective off the bench. In starting roles he is very productive. When he was with the Clips last year he was a 15 pts and 9.4 rbs per game guy, but he has never really found a nitch with a team, ever, in his entire career. He’s a great offensive rebounder, but he’ll certainly be productive when he’s in the game, but again, I’m not sure what role he’ll play for the Bucks. When he’s on the court he’ll pull down rebounds and score some points, but he’s not an energy guy to bring off the bench, just a good guy to fill a stat card, so i guess he’s doing something right.

Some games I watch Gooden, I think potential all star. Some games I watch I wonder why he is not in the D-League. He needs to pull his head out of his a$$ and play ball every day!

taj is not much different then gooden

as far as midrange rose is better as far as threes jennings is a better shooter. why do people mention “rose is a better shooter” when comparing him with others when his jump shot isnt that good. its like saying dwight howard is a better ball handler then shaq. neither is really a effective ball handler so i5t really doesnt play a big role

obviously you never seen boozer and gooden play defense. gooden isnt a great defender but hes a lil above average. boozer on th eother hand is below average.

my bad about salmons…he actually averaged 19.9 with the bucks not 20ppg

I’m a huge Rose fan and I think the both teams are pretty even. The Bucks are really deep now, and Jennings is a better 3 shooter then Rose easy, Rose is better shooter everywhere else like Q said.

Plain and simple. The Bulls are the better team, the Bucks have the better coach.

i think both teams are relatively even, and should be penciled in as 3 and 4 in the east in some order. the bucks are a lot deeper, but the bulls have a better starting five.

i have chicago winning more regular season games. chicago will be a better running team, while milwaukee will be a slow it down type team.

I’d give the Bulls a slight edge, despite lacking a player who can play both ends at the two.

Jennings, Bogut, Salmons, Maggette, Gooden, Delfino, Ilyasova, Mbah a Moute, Redd, Dooling, Boykins, Douglass-Roberts… The Bucks look great on paper, but I have to see the their chemistry. Salmons and Maggette are two players who stop ball movement. Maggette plays zero defense too.

The Bucks hugely overachieved last year especially with Bogut out, GM Hammond was allowed to spend this summer and has given them a much deeper roster but Brandon Jennings will need to show that his rookie year wasn’t a one off and prove he is a legit NBA star 2nd time around. I believe that he will do so and if Redd returns to somethig like his old form then this can be a great boost, also Redd’s huge expiring deal is a great trade tool for Hammond to use.

However I have Chicago ahead of the Bulls at the moment as Rose continues to ascend the PG ladder and with Boozer giving them extra play off experience and an inside presence then I have them edging the Bucks at this moment.
