Where are they getting all of this money from??? Small market but still signing players to large amounts of money. Meyers, ET, Crabbe, Mccollum and now Mo Harkless. Lillard last year. It is crazy

that’s what happens when you have no contracts besides Lillard on the books AND the cap explodes.

Plus I’d assume they can go over the cap to resign their own guys, which they’ve done after signing Evan Turner.

So I’m assuming they’ll be close to or above the cap now…which means they’ll need these young players to develop because they won’t be able to add pieces via free agency and while I think they are due for a bit of a regression, I don’t think they’ll be bad in the sense that they’ll get a super high draft pick that could immediately change their team either.

Weird to think about how different this Blazers group was just one year ago. It looked like they were headed towards an extensive rebuild…now their roster almost seems maxed.

I’m a little confused why Mo Harkless didn’t get more love?!? Am I missing something here? I think he still has room for a ton of growth in his game……..whatever the reason, I think this 4yr/40 M deal might look like a steal going into next offseason….they are 20 Mil over salary cap as of now but only 400k over luxury tax, not a big deal to Paul Allen….due for regression ? I’m confused again as to what makes you think that?? They brought everyone back and added a versatile playmaker in ET and a rim protector in Ezeli…this team is deep and has a ton of talent….I think they have plenty of assets to make a trade and blow it up if they don’t like the direction they are heading by the middle of 2017…..this is exactly how you rebuild a team after losing your star player to FA a year ago….unbelievable job by their GM and count me as a believer in Terry Stotts as the right man for this job…..I got them battling for 5/6 seed this year; they could be that good.

CJ’s contract doesn’t start until next year so he is still cheap this year. The team is quite deep now.
