No not "The BIG Three"(Embiid, Parker, Wiggins). I’m talking about "The Big Three"(Gordon, Randle, Vonleh).  I excluded Exum from the post because I do not see him as an option at #3.

With the Breaking News of another Joel Embiid injury resulting into surgery, it’s shaping up the Sixers options even more with his projected slide out of the Top 3.

Right now it would seem that with both Parker and Wiggins slated to go #1 & #2 that Philly would go with Noah Vonleh now. Vonleh may in fact become the consensus choice because of his versatility which has helped his progression in stock rise.

Julius Randle has been wrote off as far as being a Top 3 selection in this Draft, but with the Embiid injury coming at the "right time" it may have earned Randle a few more dollars back into his stock.

Aaron Gordon is my sleeper to be selected at #3. I am currently working on my Mock and I may step outside of the box and actually be the first to slate him there. The plus with Gordon is that he brings the elite athleticism the Sixers look for in Wiggins, with the added size being a bonus to pair up with Noel.

Do you think Gordon can improve offensively, including getting a good shot, so as to not clog the post with Noel?

I like Randle the tops of that list.  For Philly I would move Thad to his more natural 3 as he’s improved his deep ball, have Randle at 4 with Noel @ 5 leaving you plenty of options with the 10th pick

The floor spacing would be terrible, take vonleh pair him with Noel and you got some serious length and athleticism on that front line and vonleh can stretch the floor. You could have thad start or vonleh.

fine. They’re adding shooters later in the draft either way they go @ 3.

I doubt if your starting mcw, Noel, randle, and Thad your spacing will be a concern.

Rather take Exum at 3 and play him at SG, Saric at 10 and use him as strech PF.

I think you get a Spurs feel with Exum and Saric….

The only problem is there is no Timmy Duncan.  I’d compare Saric to Diaw and Exum and MCW to say Kawhi and Parker.

I like the ball-movement possibility on that team.

The only reason I want Vonleh (although he cannot pass for a big man at all), is his size and potential, he is only 18.  I don’t think Vonleh is a star in this league but I don’t think anyone aside from Wiggins and Parker is a potential 1st option.  I think Stauskas after watching his videos reminds me a lot of Manu Ginobli, he is a great shooter.  He just has short arms and probably doesn’t have the same defensive potential as Manu.  But Stauskas is a very good starting SG on a defensively-heavy otherwise team.  Its just a boring draft if you walk away wtih Stauskas and Vonleh.  Not close to having Wiggins Parker or Embiid…this sucks.

I can’t see Randle and Noel playing together for a championship.  Noel and Randle has Sacramento Kings written all over it.

If the Sixers take say Exum at 3 then it could effect who they were going to take at 10 if they had a SG for example lined up there. I’m sure that Sam Hinkie has scenarios whereby whoever they draft at 3 it impacts on who they take at 10.

Rodney Hood would seem an ideal choiceat 10 if they do take Exum at 3 and if he has gone then I think Dario Saric comes into play or Hinkie looks at a trade down perhaps with the Suns if he thinks he could get say Saric at 13 or Doug McDermott and then take a big say Nurkic or Payne at 18.

If he really wanted Hood and Charlotte was keen on him, he could offer Rick Cho the 32nd and even 39th pick to move up to 9 and give himself a better chance of getting Hood.

This is why I excluded him from the available options. I would address #3 with a 4-man because it gets scarce after the “Big Three” as far as star power.

76ers just need talent. They should go BPA hands down. Their list should 100% include Exum. They called up 5 or so D-Leaguers to fill out their bench towards the end of the season, and fielded a lot of guys who wouldn’t crack the lineup of a 30 win team, like Cleveland.

Philly should draft the most talented player with the most upside at 3, and not worry about team fit. No way in hell they should call Randle to the podium at 3 because he’s a good team fit. That kind of mentality gets you a role player, and delivers a future All-Star to the team behind you.

I still think they find a way to grab Andrew Wiggins. It will be harder, now, but the 10th pick is a huge asset and their 5 second rounders too. The 33rd pick in this draft is a great pick. The guys ranked 20-40 aren’t seperated by a whole lot this season.

If the Sixers wanted a guy whose stock is based more on potential, there’s no reason they would take Vonleh over Embiid, or even Exum.  If you said a more proven guy with a greater resume than Embiid like Marcus Smart would make an improbable jump to #3, that would be slightly more believable, but I can’t see the Sixers taking a flyer on Vonleh when they could be taking a flyer on Embiid.
