Top Players On The This Year Draft basic: On the season & In the future

Jabari Parker – I know coming of High School He’s best offensive player better yet most complete offensive player period cause he can shoot from everywhere on the floor plus he can get to the line. Here the problem going into league on defense he ain’t the defender in the world. I will know he get exposed big time SF’s such as LeBron, Melo & Durant just name of few. Other than he will be fine learning defense adjustment. I compare to Melo written all of him.

Joel Embiid – Joel start playing basketball 3 yrs ago he don’t look bad who barely start playing few yrs ago. He has ceiling than Wiggins & Parker cause big man who’s he has very good skill set on offense and defense too but he still very raw offense side he should come alog cause of his good footwork. What I like about Joel has little nasty streak in him he’s already a game changer on defense side If he put he’s offense together in a couple more years look out Dwight, Cousins & Mr. Drummond cause Embiid have chance to be best NBA big man. I compare to Akeem Olajuwon

Andrew Wiggins – 6’8 guard/forward with a skinny fame he a good season although all the hype coming in the season he did struggle first couple of the games to get used the college games. Wiggins had nice jump shoot is not streaky like Jabari it did improve thru of season but to be sucessful nba star he have to be aggersive on offensive end, more of playmaker plus with he’s leaping ability & quick first step he has tool to be good or maybe elite scorer and Wiggins has potiental to be big time defense guy in the league too. I compare to better version of Rudy Gay

Julius Randle – What I can say about Julius Randle well he’s a beast!!!! Cause one of reason why??? He will go to the rim relentlessly either get he get foul or score and other reason why??? He’s a man child against college other players espically on the boards but he’s very good upside tho. The problem kick in with him is he’s too left hand once get in the league they make sure he will use his less dominat hand to dribble ball and other thing he fall in love with 3 point/jumper little bit too much sometimes need to go to his bread and butter that is going to the basket. Another thing his wingspan going little bit of problem on defense end to change shoot. The best thing he’s has high motor. I compare to Athletic version of Derrick Coleman

Does everyone say crazy things like Jabari will get exposed by elite small forwards like melo, bron, and durant? They are the best in the game! They expose everyone!

I’m not sure how bad Jabari Parker is as a defender because he has played out of position for the season. I can tell he is bad though when he gets switched on the perimeter with smaller players. Parker has weird posture and stance he is a huntched over at all times. That is perhaps why.

Melo isn’t bad on defense as people make him out to be.

Things I would tell each one if I drafted them

Jabari Parker – Work on your conditioning and strength. We are going to slowly lose 15lbs and add muscle in the first year.

Andrew Wiggins – Work on your jumper (nice motion but loses confidence in it if he misses 2,3,4 in a row). Strengthen your frame, not sure how much weight he can add on right away but will naturally as he ages into 22,23 etc. Also handle and going left is suspect.

Embiid – Health, Stamina, and basketball IQ all have to improve.

Randle – I want to see the outside shot everyone told me you had in highschool. Also has to go and finish with his right hand more.

    My Draft order

    1. Joel Embiid

    2. Andrew Wiggins

    3. Jabari Parker

    4. Julius Randle

There isn’t a big four, it’s more like a big 6-8 with Marcus Smart and Dante Exum definitely up there and maybe Aaron Gordon and Noah Vonleh in there as well

The thing I worry about with Jabari Parker is, I don’t see this guy as a pure shooter.  Yeah, he can get hot, but he is not JJ Reddick or Steph Curry.  You can’t compare him on offense to Kevin Durant or Dirk.  The pure shooting is not there.

Then what is he, a volume scorer?  He might need to feast inside on post ups, spin moves, turn arounds, quick moves around the baseline, and mid-range jumpers.  Like Bernard King or somebody.

A plus though is I think he has a fairly high basketball awareness.  I would try to run some point forward with him.  Get him in the high post or low post and then let him run some offense.

With Joel Embiid you want to say, yeah let him put on weight.  Let him add muscle.  But, I don’t want to risk his back, or his knees.  He should stay as light as possible without getting pushed around too much.  Limit his minutes.  I would even try to play him with another big so he doesn’t get beat up too much inside.  More like Ralph Sampson than Hakeem.  Get the guy with a twin towers lineup and I really like his potential.

With Wiggins, engage him in the offense.  Don’t let the guy drift.  Live with his mistakes and then tell him to go all out and hustle on defense.  He looks like a core guy and a guy who can get his own shot at some point.  He may be a couple years away than Jabari Parker, but I like Andrew Wiggins’ upside.  His comparisons are all over the chart though: Richard Dumas and Stacey Augmon on the downside, a baseline in the Rudy Gay range, with upside comparisons of Clyde Drexler, Jordan without as good a killer instinct, or Dr. J.

Julius Randle is a load.  If Z Bo is your floor or baseline, that’s a dang good player.  He can do some more things with the ball, even if he hasn’t patented Z Bo’s 2011 vintage mid-range step back jumper.  He’s been compared to basically everyone, but what about comparisons to these late legends: Gus Johnson and Hank Gathers.
