Just for fun who do you all think will be the best team in 3 years? I know it’s impossible to tell and nobody knows… but just start shouting.

Top 5 point guard – check
Good role players – check
Great fans – Check

Im gonna say Portland..
PG- Felton Will be a savy vet you needs to win
SG-Wes Mathews is a good defensive gaurd who can shoot
SF-Gerald Wallace is a stud and still will be
PF- Aldridge is on his way to being a top 3 big men at least in the west
C- Greg Oden will have his obligatory healthy stretch of games every 4 years
6th Nicolas Batum could be a starter on alot of teams Right Now and he is still raw and learning the game
7th Brandon Roy should still be around and even with bum knees he is still an above average PG who is still faster then Andre Miller, and is a great leader who will be invaluable on and off the court.

I think the Kings will definitely be improved by then. Not sure if they will be the best but they ought to be on up there.

I mean, LeBron it will technically be the last year of their deals (as I believe they are all have player options for a 5th year, but it is basically seen as a 4 year deal), and they will still all be pretty damn young and pretty damn good. I could see them winning 3 chips in a row, at least having that be a major possibility.

In the East….the Knicks and the Hawks both are not missing very much, a few minor tweaks and they can be there in 3 years.
In the West, I definitely like OKC and with a few adjustments and I think the Spurs are right back there.

Chicago.
Arguably the best PG in the league, a good center who can rebound, and D up in Noah. A great rebounding PF in Boozer, and a streaky SF in Deng, with a solid bench. They just need a 2 guard

This may seem outlandish, but the Timberwolves, they have amazing talent in Michael Beasley, Kevin Love, Wesley Johnson, and newcomers Ricky Rubio and Derrick Williams, this is kind of the situation OKC was in 2 years ago with a bunch of raw young talent, and they have now pulled together as a team. The Wolves need some veterans who can mentor young people like Williams, Rubio, and Wes.

Im still saying Miami, the big 3 is still young (Lebron is still just 26!) and over the next 3 years will only be improving in chemistry and will get better role players as they go

Well all i know is who the ROY is going to be D.Williams or R.Rubio. DW was the best NCAA player last season and Rudeboy has been a pro at 14, and thats a lock if we have a season this year that is…. who keeps saying the heat LMAO & SMH. I know LeBron is only 26 but he is the OLDEST 26 year old in league history.
He plays almost every game, has been to 2 Finals and makes it to at least the semifinal almost
every year and has also played for Team USA some. So he has a lot of mileage. He has already played 8 years.
Next year will be his ninth year. After MJ’s ninth year he retired for awhile. The long rest really helped his career later,
not sure if LeBron gets this kind of rest. If the lockout lasts all year then this could help prolong LeBron’s peak
if he works on his post game and shooting. Wade is already 30 so in 3 years I think both will be on the decline by then.
If the Heat don’t get a lot more pieces then I don’t think they will get much better than they are now.
I think the Thunder will be great in 3 years. I think the Grizzlies will be good; hopefully Z Bo’s production stays high.
I am excited for the Kings and T Wolves. Both teams have young talented cores.
In 3 years I think their will be more parity so there might not be a clear-cut dominant team. So I think any top 3 seed (avoid the 4-5 matchup, get at homecourt advantage in at least one series and avoid playing the number one seed in the 2nd round) will have a chance to win it all.
Durant and Rose will be the best players in the league with Dwight Howard being the best true center. I think LeBron will still be a top 5-10 guy but not really an MVP candidate. I think that Dirk will still be good and should be the best older veteran in the league.
Derrick Williams, Enes Kanter, and Harrison Barnes will be up-and-coming stars with all the young point guards making the league
very fun to watch. If there is a “next” LeBron then I think it will be Tyreke Evans. He reminds me somewhat of a young LeBron (but not
as big) and I can see him averaging 25-7-7 within the next 3 years.
Thunder vs. Bulls in the Finals. Goes 7 games. Kobe and the Lakers make their final run and get beaten by the Kings with Tyreke dominating
Kobe and Jimmer comes off the bench hitting countless runners and floaters over Andrew Bynum.
In the West semis, the Grizzlies beat the Kings in 6 games with the Thunder beating the T Wolves in 5 games. Minny had
beaten the Clippers in an EPIC 7 game series in the 4-5 matchup. In the conference finals the Thunder beat the
defending champion Memphis Grizzlies in 7 games with Ibaka containng Z Bo for much of the series.
Out East the Heat survive a 7 game marathon series over the 8th seeded Cavs as LeBron hits a buzzer beating driving jumper over the
out-stretched arms of Omri Casspi. In the second round the Raptors come from behind to beat the Heat in six games with Andrea Bargnani
destroying Bosh and hitting a couple of game winning shots. Jonas Valenciunas kills the Heat inside and is the series’ leading rebounder.
Joey Dorsey outplays Udonis Haslem and throws down some monster dunks and even blocks some of LeBron’s now-famous fast break power layups. The Bulls beat the Pistons in a hard-fought 6 game first round matchup then the Knicks in 5 in the second round. The Bulls then beat the Raptors in 6 games with Rose averaging 35-6-6 and get back to the Finals for the 2nd year in a row.
In game 7 of the NBA Finals Derrick Rose hits some huge fourth quarter shots including a leaning 3 pointer off the glass as the shot clock winds down. Rose then ices the game at the line and wins his first title and first Finals MVP award.

I like the OKC Thunder though. Great ownership. Great management. Great young players who work hard and are only going to get better. Once Durant gets stronger and adds a post game, it’s over.

I’m going with the Jazz, they solidified their front court of the future in a years time, with sky high potential and not to mention favors and kanter are both 19 yrs old, at the 2 hardest positions to fill. Then you add into the equation hayward and burks who are 2 wing players who can create their own shot and are both great passers out of their positons. Plus if they get Golden States pick this coming season, they can look to get their point of the future in either Kabongo,teague or marshall. They also have great mix of veteran leadership to help these guys grow over the next 3 seasons.

  i think the wizards will be pretty decent with a good draft this year and they should have a high pick next year
  Wall, Young, Vesely, Blatche, Mcgee, Singleton, Booker, Mack and then someone like Perry Jones could really help…they have a lot of cap room too. not saying they will win it all but should be a playoff team in 2-3 years.
  And then my sleeper pick is New Jersey because i really think they might make a splash in free agency.
