Lotto StudParticipantThe hardest working players in the NBA have been MJ & Kobe by far, but when Kobe hangs it up I see Austin Rivers potentially surpassing him. Austin has the best work ethic than anone coming up in his class that will end up going to the league. He works on ballhandling with Rondo, shooting with Allen, one on one game with Pierce. It gets no greater than that for a HS player who has the luxury to get the best teaching. Kobe got 1 up on MJ & Austin will have 1 up on him. "Kids will be saying they tryna get that Rivers # 1 over Kobe"

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI think it’s too soon to put Austin Rivers in the same breath as Kobe and MJ.

ilike.panochasParticipantVince Carter currently wears #25.
And Austin Rivers wears #25 because his dad wore that number. It had nothing to do with Kobe wearing #24 and following his footstep.

Lotto StudParticipantI know I was making emphasis that they have the hardest work ethic in their era.

iguapops420ParticipantDamn Memphis, I usually respect ur opinion. But I’m hitting you with a negative on that one. Let him get as good as his dad first. BTW, u realize Gail Goodrich was number 25 right?

omphalosParticipantKobe works harder than MJ? Kind of a bold claim we all seem to be glazing over here…
Gilchrist has the best work ethic in the class IMO, just because Rivers has opportunities Mike doesn’t have doesn’t mean he is a harder worker. Gilchrist’s work ethic carries over to the defensive end too, Rivers says the right things but I just don’t see it.

khaled_a_dParticipantI haven’t watched Austin except some youtube videos, which obviously isn’t enough to know a lot about a player
but from what I’ve seen,I get the impression that the best comparison is Manu Ginobili

rileymcshea3ParticipantAustin Rivers is a better shooting and taller Allen Iverson without his crossover but still with his quick handles

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant^
Allen Iverson without his crossover ISN’T Allen Iverson anymore.
