dwilks101586ParticipantEveryone knows that Lebron isnt goin to the knicks but there might be a sign and trade with lee and bosh. Also its more likely that Joe Johnson would go before Lebron or Wade.
So my question is this with bosh, Joe, Camby, and T-mac(If he comes back for the min) are they still the that would be top 6 in the east?

sheltwon3ParticipantThey could be top 4 or 5 with that line up depending on who Chicago got. It will more than a year for them to max Orlando, Atlanta, and Cleveland with Lebron. They will probably be in a fight with the Bulls for the 4th spot if they can get all that which is realistic. The better thing is they need to shore up their future with some nice 2nd rounders.

dwilks101586ParticipantWith Joe gone ATL doesnt have that go to scorer but i still think their a playoff team without him but top 4 not likely. If Joe leaves crawford would take the starting spot but hes not a go to scorer hes a 2nd 3rd option player. Now dont get me wrong JC is a good player but dont check his stats check his wins

RUDEBOYWith close to 37 million dollars to spend..They can sign 2 elite players ,a good role player and still bring back David Lee… i’ll try to trade Chandler or Gallinari for Darren Collinson..They really really need a point guard..And the Hornets need depth..

quinceyhodges2. NEW YORK
$53.6 million salary cap: $23.4 million in cap space
$50 million salary cap: $19.8 million in cap spaceWhat it means: It’s worldwide common knowledge, to put it in the terms D-Wade used, that the Knicks’ original free-agent fantasy was signing LeBron along with another max player (such as Wade or Chris Bosh) in the summer of 2010 to start over under coach Mike D’Antoni, who is beloved by James, Wade and several other members of Team USA from their time with the national team. But with first-year salaries for the big names expected to be in the $16 million range, New York can only afford one max player … unless it can (gulp) move Eddy Curry for an expiring contract during the season. This, furthermore, is a best-case scenario for the Knicks that assumes unrestricted free agents-to-be David Lee and Nate Robinson are no longer on the payroll. In short? No team has been pinched more by the prospect of a declining salary cap than the residents of Madison Square Garden.

knicks82ParticipantNo way Toronto trades to the Knicks. As much as Id like to see it happen, Colangelo isnt that stupid to trade Bosh to a division rival.

quinceyhodgesIt seemed the more the Knicks missed from 3-point range, the more eager they were to try again. In the third quarter, after House missed his fourth 3-pointer, chants of “back to Boston!” rang out from the disgruntled MSG crowd. House, who came to the Knicks from the Celtics at the trade deadline, neglected to take another attempt from three.

NYK2010ParticipantWhy does the cap dropping have so much of an effect, don’t max players get 30% of the cap anyway.
30% of 50=15 mill or 30% of 55= 16.5.
They can always sign the guys to 3 year contracts then resign them again at higher salaries right? They are on the books for 17.782904 mill next year so far with 4 guys Curry, Douglas, Gallo and Chandler.
House has to go along with Harrington, Bender and Duhon for sure.
What about Devin Harris, I know the Nets would probably want to move him somewhere else if at all.
This is why giving up those draft picks to Houston wasn’t smart its just giving away trade chips.0 - AuthorPosts
