CU.LIONSParticipantThis kid is no Kyrie Irving obviously, but can’t help to think that he raised his stock up quite a bit for Boston. Still has 2 years left on his rookie contract. He is so deceptively athletic and is a damn good defender. All while hitting BIG 3s in the fourth quarter all year long.
What do you guys think about Rozier and his potential long term possibilty as a starter in this league??

Lotto StudParticipantAs long as he doesn’t speak to the media about a starting role, he will remain to be a likable person.

BleedGreen808ParticipantWell sometime around the beginning of the year he said he believes he’s a starting PG in this league and that his time would come eventually.

BrentSuriaga01ParticipantChauncey Billups or Reggie Jackson. The one who waited and took time to develop his game vs. the one who begged for a starting job after his 15 minutes of fame was up. Don’t get me wrong but Reggie Jackson is a decent starting PG, just not a guy you will mention on the same breath as Westbrook, Curry, Irving or the like.

treytalkssports.comParticipantTerry Rozier is *cue Brad Stevens voice* really good at basketball.
He doesn’t fit the traditional mold of player. He plays at such an eratic pace that his play style reminds me a lot of Westbrook (not as good of a player obviously). The only difference is that Rozier struggles to finish at the hoop but makes his threes, which is the opposite of Westbrook.
His competitiveness and athleticism are absolutely elite.
If he can figure out the intricacies of the pick-and-roll a little more (pocket passes, lobs, etc.), and gets more burn with the ball, he could be an all-star one day.

Dell87Participantif I’m Ainge, I take advantage of his stock and trade him immediately when the season is over. The problem is, I think teams are afraid to trade with ainge because he constantly hoses the teams he trades with. Teams like Phoenix, Clippers, Cleveland, and the Knicks can use a point guard, instead of losing him for nothing, maybe we can get a first round pick. He’s definitely NOT GETTING A MAX CONTRACT FROM BOSTON

treytalkssports.comParticipantI don’t think Rozier’s value will get any higher, but I also don’t think it will get much lower.
Even if, due to playing time, his numbers go down next season, he has proven what he can do on the court. He is also still on his rookie contract, giving the Cs or any other team that trades for him control for at least the next 4-5 years.
The truth is, although Ainge has made a lot moves over the last 3-4 years, he has the luxury of waiting now. He has young, cost-controlled contracts and veterans. He can wait under the banner of "Just imagine if this team was healthy" and no one would really question him. The Cs young players continue to improve, and there is little indication that they have maxed out their growth. If they return everyone next year (including one of Baynes or Moose), they would be the deepest team in the league 1-10.
Also, I think Ainge has learned the lesson that the best moves are sometimes they ones you don’t make. Instead of trading for Tyreke Evans this year, he was patient and let the young guys develop — look how they are rewarding him.

MooooseParticipantGlad he’s making it. No questions about his game coming off college. The concerns were mostly about his physique. That 16th pick that was considered a reach by many three years ago is starting to look just about right.

holefillers1ParticipantI took Kyle Lowry a few years to get his game going and once he did he was a handful. I see the same thing with Rozier and probably with a team other than Boston.
