TWILL123ParticipantI have been reading these boards for a few years now and just decided to make an account solely due to the fact that I have seen a lot of people bashing Terry Rozier. There may be some bias here since I am a Louisville fan, but this kid is unreal. He is the best all around guard Louisville has had since the 80s. Since Louisville has Chris Jones at the PG spot, he plays the 2 the majority of the time in our offense. That explains the low assists numbers, although that number has been rising in ACC play. He is also one of the best rebounding guards in the country, as he averages over 5 rebounds a game, and also leads the ACC in steals per game. The best part about his game is his ability to score from anywhere on the floor. He’s very crafty around the rim and has a lethal mid range jumper. He’s a very solid 3-point shooter as well shooting 37% form 3 over his 2 seasons at Louisville. He models his game of D Wade but I think he is Damian Lillard 2.0. You guys may have your doubts, but if you watch louisville throughout the rest of the year, you’ll notice that it is not Montrezl Harrell’s team, but it is Terry Rozier’s. He and Jerian Grant are without a doubt the two best guards in the ACC and join Dangelo Russell and Delon Wright as the best guards in the NCAA.

festar35ParticipantI have been looking into his game more and more, I think he has the most upside after Mudiay and Russell at PG position, but Lillardsf he is not.
Lillard is a far better shooter that Rozier, I don’t anticipate him to get on Lillardsf level. He has a more physical inside/attacking game like Ty Lawson.
His ability to run an offence is an unknown as you said they have Jones running the point so time will tell how he will develop.

MopgrassParticipantI agree on the upside. I don’t know why he’s listed as the 3rd best PG. And yes, he’s not the shooter Lillard is. However, he is a better at getting to the rack and a better athlete.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI don’t think he is in the same category as Lillard as a shooter, and I think his ability to hit the NBA 3 consistently in work outs will be what determines whether he goes late first or lottery. He needs to be able to keep defenses honest to both allow him to attack the rim, and to help spread the floor for whatever team he gets taken by.

Professor RozayParticipantI honestly don’t think that we have seen him at his best yet. It was already stated that he is not playing the point with Jones on the team. Due to that we have not seen how well he is going to be at running the team. He has a great feel for the game. Not only is he a good all around scorer, passer, and rebounder for a guard. But, he also locks up on the defensive end of the floor. He makes other guards jobs harder all game. I believe that he will come back next season to show people what kind of playmaker he is once he is the full time point guard spot. The future is bright for this young man believe that…

wwwoclsParticipantI thought the Cards’ offense ran better last year with Terry at the point (and I said that repeatedly.) He’s not a natural point guard but he’s a very disciplined player that will consciously work to do whatever job he needs to do. His scoring ability and overall production are terrific. If he was 6’5", he’d be a Top 5 pick. That’s Russ’ problem, too. They’re both not vertically blessed when it comes to NBA size. Russ is more explosive but I think Terry has a great feel for letting the game come to him and when he needs to facilitate for his teammates or pursue his own offense. Russ would put his head down and do great things; Terry is smoother than silk and is doing some great things. I’ll miss him a ton when he leaves UL.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantI personally saw him on three occassions get game winning steals in high school. Yeah game winning steals, two off in bounds plays in closing seconds and one a one on one steal at half court when another local top prep player was running down the clock to take the last shot.
He leads the ACC in steals and sometimes doesn’t play ultra alert defense. As a player he is extremely confident and is a rise to the occasion type of guy. Top 10 is to high but first round is a given. He is a better pro prospect than Trey Burke. His shot will come it might take some time to develop at the NBA level but its not broke ala Elfrid Payton or MCW.
I bet 1000 points that D’angelo Russell won’t work out for teams in combined workouts with Terry Rozier!!!
I think Russell has more upside as a prospect but he would be outmanned and out grinded in a work out with Rozier.

wwwoclsParticipantI’ll qualify my comments by saying I’m a biased UL fan that loves everything about Terry Rozier. That said, he’s a big timer and he knows it. He plays his best ball on the road and when his team needs him. Even when it seems like he’s not playing well, you look at his line after the game and he’s 20/5/4 consistently. If Terry was 6’4", he’d be a top 5 pick. That said, he has the same problem Russ Smith has. He’s not going to grow three or four inches in the near future. In that way, he’s a bit of a misfit. A relatively short player that can really score the ball. That may prevent him from being a star in the NBA but he should still log minutes with someone as a valuable starter or bench player. I think whatever team drafts him will fall in love with him.
