I was so excited for this season to start in October. I was looking forward to heated battles with the Nets and Knicks. However, for an east coast fan, this year has been a little boring. Injuries have plagued the entire league including Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo, Kobe Bryant and now Brook Lopez. As a Knicks fan I truly thought they could contend in the eastern conference. However, they have become the laughing stock of the league as Carmelo put it. There were only two games on Christmas day that were worth watching, and only one was close (Warriors vs Clips). West coast fans may be more happy this season with Portlands big surge, but NBA on the east coast sucks this year. Anyone else feel that way?

Don’t forget Al Horford and the Hawks. The Hawks were the 3rd seed and were going to cruise into the playoffs in the Eastern Conference and most likely the 2nd and now their future is up in the air.

People need to stop freaking out about injuries! Of course it sucks! But its not that surprising.

Horford and Lopez are big men that are injury prone. Both of them getting hurt? Unsurprising.

Rose and Westbrook are TRANSCENDENT athletes that put so much pressure on their knees, both of them having knee problems? Unsurprising.

Kobe has played like 17 seasons, has came back too soon from virtually every injury he’s had and is 35 years old. The fact he looks like he can’t stay on the floor? UNSURPRISING.

It’s been a good season. Except for the East being a joke.
