scootover7ParticipantI don’t know if this would appeal to anyone but I figure sometimes you got to say what the heck and go for it. I noticed that there are seven teams in this draft that have two first round picks. With that being said I would like to see who you think each team should go for and why? (Note this at the moment is the current order of these teams )
Minnesota – 1st and 20th- for me it’s Irving and Singleton
Cleveland- 2nd and 8th- Derrick Williams unless he’s off the board then Irving, Marcus Morris
Washington- 4th and 18th- Enes Kanter and Jordan Hamilton
Utah- 6th and 12th- Jan Vesely and Kemba Walker if not then Alec Burks and Terrence Jones
Charlotte- 9th and 19th- Kemba Walker and Tobias Harris
Houston- 14th and 23rd- Kawhi Leonard and Bismack Biyombo
Chicago- 28th and 30th- Kyle Singler and Travis Leslie

I don’t see Utah taking 2 wings, when they already took a promising wing last year in Hayward. Utahs GM was booed last year when he drafted Hayward. Utah fans hate drafting white players, so I don’t see Utah drafting another white wing unless Vesely slides all the way down to #12.

jtthebrick14ParticipantAlso, I see both of you have Bismack going 14th or lower. I don’t think there is any chance of that happening unless something happens in workouts to lower his stock. Both draftexpress.com and ESPN have him in their top 10.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantUtah is guaranteed to target wings. They have Jefferson, Millsap, Favors and Okur all down low, and even if Devin Harris isn’t the future for them, he’s the 2nd or 3rd best player on the roster right now. They need shooters and wings.

HitsterParticipantI can see a fair few trade ups and Utah might make that bold move, Washington could get close to 1st pick with 4th and 18th if packaged and Daryl Morey at Houston is the sort of GM to make things happen.

SwatLakeCityParticipantMinnesota: Irving and Klay Thompson. But I see them looking to trade Irving to whoever will bite probably Sacramento, Toronto, or Utah. Utah did a trade the last time they had the 6th pick in 2005 and it ended up being Deron Williams. Kyrie could be that kind of player for Utah so I do see them trading their 6th pick for him. Minny was interested in Raja Bell around the trade deadline, but didnt get an offer to work out so I’d expect Raja Bell to be part of the trade as well as a 2012 first rounder if that happens. Toronto might try and give up the 3rd pick and a 2012 first rounder. Sacramento might try and give up the 5th pick and a 2012 1st rounder.

Utah: Alec Burks and Terrance Jones (Alec Burks could be traded though to Minny for Irving)

@jtthebrick: Yes, utah fans did boo when Gordon Hayward was selected, but they were wrong to do that. I think Utah fans have seen that Hayward is more than just a skinny white kid. Besides AK is likely leaving next year, and Utah is in a rebuilding mode so both AK and Raja Bell will probably not be there next year which means Utah will only have 1 SG and 1 SF. (CJ Miles and Gordon Hayward) If Utah does not take wings than they will be in trouble.
Both ESPN and draftexpress were overjoyed by Bismack doing so well in Nike Hoop Summit but they are also wrong about 90% of the time maybe even more. draftexpress has an overwhelming favoritism towards international players so of course they have Bismack going high. And well Chad Ford is a moron. Let me explain it to you this way: 2 or 3 weeks ago Bismack Biyombo was an unknown and likely a 2nd round pick then thanks to his triple double he had at the Nike Hoop Summit he shot up from a second rounder to a lottery pick. He shot up like 50 picks in one short week. Does that ever happen, NO. So I highly doubt Bismack will be a top 10 pick. That fact alone has to concern scouts. He will be a lottery pick because scouts like him but I think he will be a late lottery pick.

WolvesFutureParticipantThere’s no way any team would give up a First Round pick for Bell, I’m sure a Second Rounder would suffice.
I wouldn’t expect the Wolves to keep either of their First Round picks, they have enough young players and presumably another rookie in Ricky Rubio.
What kind of deal could the Wolves get for these players, in multiple trades, or serveral large ones. Besides maybe Pekovic, Tolliver, Ridnour, and the Euro guys they own the rights to I wouldn’t expect any of the following players to be back with the team:
Their Early Pick (#1 at best – #4 at worst) Kyrie Irving/Derrick Williams/Enes Kanter/Jonas Valanciunas
The 20th Pick
Jonny Flynn
Wayne Ellington
Nikola Pekovic
Anthony Tolliver
Luke Ridnour
Rights to Pauolo Prestes

SwatLakeCityParticipant@WolvesFuture, I never said that the Jazz would give up just Bell for first round pick. I said Bell might be included. The trade might be something like this the 6th pick, and 2012 first rounder and Bell for the 1st or 2nd pick (Irving)
I also expect the Wolves to trade the 20th pick as well as some of the players you mentioned, but I’m not going to even think about what certain trade scenarios will be cuz that would just be too many trades and therefore very complicated. The only I can give you is the 1st-4th pick which I already stated

WolvesFutureParticipantThe Jazz already owe the Wolves their First Round pick from the Al Jefferson trade, it’s top 12 protected until 2014 when the Wolves will have the right to swap their First Round pick with the Jazz.

SwatLakeCityParticipantWell okay then the Jazz won’t trade their own 2012 pick but that doesn’t mean that Bell won’t be included in the trade or that a trade won’t happen. You are so ignorant. Read my whole comment carefully before you start assuming. And that was just a suggestion it doesn’t matter if its right or wrong. How am I supposed to know what the trade will be like? That is way too many trades for anybody, even DNYCE, to think of.

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf the Cavs take Irving at 2, then I can see them taking Bismack at 8. If they move up to 1 then I see them taking Derrick Williams and Kemba Walker at 8 if he is still there. Derrick Williams and Bismack Biyombo would be a good front court combination too.
I think that Biyombo has more upside than the Morris twins and Terrence Jones. So I think he goes higher than those guys.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantMaybe one of those teams trade both of their first round picks to move up higher in the draft. Too bad this draft class isn’t that great otherwise these teams with multiple picks in the first round would get some good players to build for the future. Then again I won’t be surprise if some of those players end up great.
