bobbybParticipantPeople are overlooking that even if the Knicks sign big free agents it doesnt translate in success. When Garnett and Allen came to the Celtics they didnt come as mercenaries. They came with a desire to win(alliance= ubutu)Bosh Lebron Wade are just looking for max money then secondary the best chance to win. Also the only way to get good cheap talent is through the draft in which the Knicks gave away. Lebron was asked on an interview” would you take less money if it means a championship” and he said no.( The question was alluding to when Tim Duncan took less in order to sign Parker and Ginobli)

quinceyhodgesi agree i doubt bron comes. the knicks just dont have the peices to be a contender with him. if he didnt say he would take less money in order to win a title then miami is in a very very good position. especially since he said playing with wade could work

quinceyhodges“At the end of the day, a max deal or anything like that doesn’t really matter to me. It is all about winning for me. So I put myself in a position when that day comes next summer, I want to win. If I feel like the team is capable of winning, then I will make my decision on that”-“Let’s get this clear,” he said. “I said the max contract doesn’t mean more than winning. That’s what I said. I didn’t say that I don’t need a max contract or that I’m not going to get a max contract. All I’m saying is winning is more important to me than money, at the end of the day. And it is. All I care about is winning. Money and all the max contracts will take care of itself when you do win”
thats the closest thing i can even find to what youre saying bobby

fastdanParticipantLebron makes so much money from endorsements he should just suck it up and take like 5 mil a year so he actually get to play with some legit players, instead of eating all the cap space of whatever team he goes to. If he did that, then I would believe winning is a number one priority for him.

quinceyhodgesyeah. you can say that about all the players. each player could accept half of the money they make and still live comfortably. but who in any any job does that?..i know i wouldnt
