 There’s a report out that he is 27 years old!!! This apparently is nothing new in Qatar though, as there have been numerous accusations of them "naturalizing" or "rejuvenating" athletes( especially ones from Africa) in order to strengthen their national sports teams- even though they all suck anyway….. This means Ngombo lied about his age, as he said he was born in 1989 opposed to 1984. This pretty damn funny though…..

 I’d rather take a 27 year old Tanguy Ngombo than an 18 year old CHUKWUDIEBERE MADUABUM! easily the worst pick in the draft despite the fact it involves a non guaranteed contract,…of all the players in the D-League it’s not Jamie Peterson but CHUKWUDIEBERE MADUABUM!?

Looks like Kahn didn’t do his homework.

Wasted pick. He’s probably never coming to the NBA, no one else knew about, and he’s turing 27 this year.

They could’ve had much better prospects, but they traded down to get him, and you’ll never see him in a T’Wolves uniform.

Man, Kahn is once again the most horrible GM in drafting.

He made ok signing (not significantly overpaying) and ok trade (picking up Beasley for 2nd round picks).  His drafting skill is just down right awful.  That’s why although he has a rebuilding plan, his horrible drafting skill really hold the TWolves back.  I wonder if Rob Bobcack (his assistant GM) was behind all the drafting.  He was horrible at drafting with a history of Araujo, Joey Graham, and Charlie V.

The big issue in this is that he should have never been allowed to be in the draft. Per NBA rules all international players become free agents if they don’t declare by age 22, so technically he shouldn’t have been allowed in the draft at all. What a fail not only by the Wolves but by the league.

for Wolves European scout Pete Philo, as written by DX last week, he’s been scouting him for a while and thinks he’ll be good, I have to imagine the age thing has been sensationalized by the media, like everything Timberwolves is, Pete Philo did his due diligence, no way this kid is 27.
