tblazer_NZParticipantThis trade involves Toronto and Boston.
I’m not sure it is a good idea but I have had positive responses in the past with trade ideas.
Jeff Green (player option for next year) and Joel Anthony (expiring) for Landry Fields (expiring) and Chuck Hayes (expiring) almost equal Salary.
Toronto is looking for improvement from last year and Jeff Green can be that 4th scoring option on the starting line up. They don’t lose any key pieces but could lose cap space although Toronto aren’t known as a major FA destination.
Boston is rebuilding and I don’t believe they see paying Jeff Green 9.2m is worth it for them. This give them a chance at a faster turnaround to being a contender again.
Hope this doesn’t offend any fans of either of these franchises.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantThis is the Boston Celtics rights? Not the Boston Charity Fund?

tblazer_NZParticipantI see this as a similar situation as Philly was with Thad Young. It didn’t take much to get him. I would add a top 20 protected pick to Boston as a sweetener.

tblazer_NZParticipantI forgot about DeAndre Daniels. His right would be sent to Boston as well.

natevalParticipantGreen is mostly likely going to opt out next year so really what are the Celtics getting? I’m a huge Celtics fan and think we should move green but expiring deals for expiring deals doesn’t make sense here.

natevalParticipantI do think Green would be a good fit with Toronto. Would Toronto give up Bruno in a trade? The Celtics were high on him around the draft. I think Green will be an attractive player for a contender come deadline time.
