taylor26ParticipantFirst of all I would like to go over the T wolves current roster or rights held on to.
PG
1. Ricky Rubio: I for one a couple of years ago was jumping up and of the walls when the wolves drafted rubio. I personaly would have bought a jersey the next day if he would have come over and I still will if he ever does. Kahns statement of how the draft was rigged and how the wolves didn’t get the first pick (Irving) in the draft may be a sign that rubio dosen’t want to come over. Well anyway the wolves have the #2 pick and thats that. Regardless of wheather rubio decides to make the jump or pluge to the T wolves still has alot to do with the new CBA but who knows as of now. Many have said Khan must live and die by his decison on rubio and if that is so then patience is still the key.
2. Luke Ridnour: Ridnour I belive started every game last year for the T wolves at PG. He was singed to a 4 mil/yr 4 yr contract supposiedly to mentor Rubio as he did in millwake(sorry about spelling) with Jennings. Well overpriced and yet a decinet backup I belive ridnour can still provide vet leadership on this team although a losing team. Yet the real fact remains that he is a player taking away playing time from Flynn wheather by starting or backup role.
3. Johhny Flynn: Flynn had quite the sophomore slump last year. He entered the season injuried and never seem to recover his confidence that he possesed his rookie season. His shot completely fell of and was nothing but a turn over machine the last half of the year. I personaly belive this is an aberation and think johhny will have a decent carrer where ever he winds up. That being said his Value is at a low point so teams willing to trade for him may get him at the cheap depending on what the T-Wolves plans are.
SG
1. Wesley Johnson: Many have said his true role is at SF i wouldn’t disagree but the majority of time for johnson last year was at SG. He did ok as I a timberwolves fan must admit. His jump shot is good but at 24 years old this season he still can’t put the ball on the floor and for some reason won’t drive to the rim Two of the most important factors of a 2 guard in my opinon as well as getting to the foul line. One must still realize the fact that while maybe never a star he will be a vauled role player.
2. Martell Webster: Webster had a decent start to the season as he was a starter. Expiring contract at the end of the year means he could be trade bait. Injury plauged him through out the year and his so called experience or veteren leadership proven nil. While a solid role player his salary will be a decisive factor.
3. Wayne Ellington: Role player, Decent shot. I could see him being picked up by a team in need of shooting but as of now the T wolves have more minuets for other players. Remember this dude won a championship at duke. Like Webster a exp conrtact.
SF
1.Michael Beasly: I peronally love B-Easy in the T Wolves jersey. He proved last year that he can definetly score on one anyone in the L. Was on a tare before the allstar break at a 22ppg but droped off of course to injury. While still young (22) I belive bealsy is still the T wolves most tradeable asset, yet at the same time i think teams will undervalue him because one must call a spade a spade and beasly while not a headcase in my mind is no more than a 2nd option on a good team. The wolves have three options in my point of view either 1( Keep beasly and Love for the long term or 2( trade beasly with some package to get a vet C/PF/SF/SG/PG. or 3( Put a quailfiying tender on him at the end of the year. I would opt for 1 but thats just me. Verdict EXP contract
PF
1.Kevin Love: What a year. Giving the T Wolves hope……………………….. Love had a great year……..was an allstar……….in the final year of his contract………………………………….. future with this team??????????? I totally wonder what teams would give for this guy although as anyone can see he is the ALPHA T WOLF . An improved three shoter ‘The beast of a rebounder and a consumet banger." With will and toughness this guy has exceeded all expecations provided last year wasn’t an aberation. Still he lead his team to the worst recored so like so many rats I have a felling of jumping ship…………………. Verdict EXP contract
2. Anthony Tolliver: Role player on a losing team. Hit some threes. Low contract. Ok im my book but we lose all the time. EXP contract next year.
3.Anthony Randolph: I don’t know alot of people are high on him here in minnesota…? Rode the pine in NY still young of course ( Beasly and Love’s draft class so there all about 22) but has a team option at 4+ mill next year. Could be trade bait as he has been all his life. Verdict EXP contract
C
1.Darko Milicic: Serviceable I love that word so I’ll say it again servi ce blee. 3 more years at 5 mil a year. I’m ok. Darko was 3rd in blocked shots last year and if he can stay that way im so totally cool. He is the only T wolves player with any height plus size which every team needs.
2.Nikola Peckovic: I was cherring for him all year as he was a rookie. Got into foul trouble alot and as i have just recently learned he did so in europe as well, I am very concerened. At 2 yrs left with 4mil each year That seems like alot but lets us not give up on him yet. A backup maybe but only a rookie in the big leauges last year. I have the felling it takes a little longer for European players too adjust to the game in the NBA.
Going Forward
#2 Pick
I perdict the T wolves will take Derrick Williams obviously BPA. After THAT the motives of consolidation of talent will be in effect. Depending on the new cba (which i have no idea about) I am quite sure teams will tend to hold on to the players they have and nothing will be done untill the knew(CBA) is resolved. (i.e.) trades
#20 (?) my guess is as good as yours this site has us taking singleton, well i wouldn’t be apposed to that. The more defense the better

r377Participant20th pick would be great to grab faried or singleton although they are loaded at forwards – oh well at least they would show love and beasley what defence was…

WolvesFutureParticipantKahn tried to get him in the 2010 Draft and wasn’t able to, there’s no way they let him go unless he has just a terrible season next year. He’s a part of their so-called ‘core’, Love, Beas, Rubio, Wes, Randolph.

NashyMingParticipantDerrick Williams is the BPA at #2 if Irving goes 1st. However, with Beasley on board, I can certainly see Kahn taking Enes Kanter. SG and C are the biggest holes so taking Kanter makes sense.

Born ReadyParticipantWolves need to trade b easy! i know some fans wont like this but i cant stand him! hes not all there and takes alot of stupid shots
i was thinking at first and it was posted before that maybe we can trade him for oj mayo however by geting mayo means him and wes would fight for mins. (trade b easy and draft derrick williams) i feel tradeing b- easy for a center would be more of a value then tradeing mayo for a possibly centre.. Maybe the Clips take beasley and we can get kaman? what other bigs are out there worth tradeing for?
btw i dont like that rumor pacer deal at all!

MichaelJKohlParticipantDo they not want to give Jonny Flynn a chance?

MichaelJKohlParticipantLooking back on it seems funny that people were debating whether the Bulls should take Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley number 1.

kobyzParticipantrandom question: do you think Ricky Rubio + #18 pick for #5 pick is a fair trade? do you think both Wolves and Raptors should do it???
i know Raptors fans are high on Rubio and want him very much, personally i’m not value Rubio in very exceptional way and i think Wolves should try to get out of him somthing instead of bring him to play for them as it’s not feel like good situation for him with the history and more, i think Ricky Rubio + #18 pick for #5 pick it’s a solid value.
as for Wolves, then they could draft a PG and a Big(Kanter/Knight, Irving/Valanciunas) or maybe a full backcourt(Irving/Burks, Knight/Burks).
