HaleParticipantHe is one of my top 3 favorite players of all time and I would take him on my team anyday, but since his contract runs out in 2010 (I think), is it possible he will be traded either during draft night, before the deadline this year or any other time before then? I think someone would want to pick up a good second scorer on a team and you wouldn’t have to give up a whole lot probably. A team like the Cavs (need a second scorer) jumps out at me but I don’t know what they would give up for him. Toronto (need a wing) too?

KevinDurantRocksParticipantIs looking to acquire T Mac for an extra push in the playoffs its because he has cap relief before Lebron goes on Market
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/08/2009 - 1:49pm #158694
HaleParticipantT-Mac is getting out of his contract the same year though, so it wouldn’t matter. His salary wouldn’t count against any team.

j1232eParticipantI hate to see this happening but he is going to be nothing more than a role player. I think clev. would be great for him so he wont have the ball 80% of the time. If he continues to try to be the number one option on teams. I dont see him ever getting out of the first round!
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/08/2009 - 1:52pm #158696
HaleParticipantYes, that is why i think he should go to Cleveland. He would really help their scoring too. He can still get anywhere between 15-20 ppg.

RickyRubio9Participanthave nothing the Rockets would want unless they say Number 1 Pick or E.G. Maybe Kaman, but I rather us just stick it out one more year and sign someone else in 2010

SmooveKRYPTParticipantTmac has been my favorite player for the last decade…he can still score 20 a game if u put him on the right squad…Cleveland would be a good fit, the could trade Ben Wallace and Delonte West/Pavlovic for him…
but another scenario I came up with is him going to NY for Larry Hughes & Jared Jeffries…they clear Jeffries’ contract giving them more money in 2010, and I also think he can get them the 8th seed this upcoming year…behind Nash, CP3, LeBron, & Wade, I don’t think there’s andyone in the league I’d want with the ball to make the right decision, no Kobe’s not on that list because even though he’s improved as a passer, he still takes horrible shots when he could pass to a wide open teammate!!!
Tmac carried the Rockets by himself in the 08 playoffs, and did a damn good job, but no1 gives him credit!!!0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/08/2009 - 2:42pm #158742
j1232eParticipantThey didn’t even get out of the first round, their is no way he carried them in 08 playoffs.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantwould anyone get out of the 1st round with Aaron Brooks, Shane Battier, Scola, and Landry??? NOO, the fact that he was even able to push Utah to a 7th game was amazing, when Yao went out no1 even expected Houston to make the playoffs, instead they go on a 12 game winning streak, and get the #4 seed ALLL behind Tmac, but he gets no credit…he finished 5th in MVP voting, but no1 remembers that, all everyone does is talk S**T about him 24/7. hes carried mediocre teams by himself his whole career!!!

Knicksboy34Participant1 article? Wow
McGrady will be out 25-30 in the beginning of the season, why would I trade for him?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 7:44pm #190385
HaleParticipantNo not for trade info, just saying in his prime he was a number 1.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 7:45pm #190386
Michael.S.Participantno doubt a #1 option that isnt even debate-able

HaleParticipantAtta boy.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 7:48pm #190389
Michael.S.Participanti always said it and will keep sayin it i would take a prime T-Mac over a prime Kobe anyday
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 7:48pm #190390
Knicksboy34ParticipantOn a Championship team…I think T-mac would be a #2 option then and now
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 7:50pm #190393
HaleParticipantYou also said that about Brandon Roy. Tmac= number 1 on championship team, give his pao, odom and the rest of the lakers in his prime they still win that series against the Magic.

Michael.S.Participantyupyup and knicks off the convo for a sec
check out the hey guys post again LOL0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 7:55pm #190397
Knicksboy34ParticipantTmac= number 1 on championship team, give his pao, odom and the rest of the lakers in his prime they still win that series against the Magic.
Your thinking about 2002 T-mac. You take off Kobe and place T-mac on that team this year? Nope. I do not think so.
It’s also funny how you still think T-mac is on Kobe’s level….LOL
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 7:58pm #190398
HaleParticipantI don’t think he is now. Like I said in his prime. Right now McGrady is like an average 2 or 3 on a championship team. But back in the day he was definitely a 1. Obviously he isn’t the same player now.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 8:07pm #190402
Knicksboy34ParticipantI dont wanna argue….too late for all that.
Im not a big numbers guy so I do not care about what he averaged. For most of his prime, he could not make it to the 2nd round. It does not matter, he never won. He was a big scorer that’s about it. He lacked on D after he got a big deal in Orlando and Quit on them after they got the 1st pick in the draft. He demanded a trade where he was supposed to be the Man in Houston. It been years and he still has 0 playoff wins.
-He’s always hurt
-He got lazy on D
-Admitted he never played hardSay what you want when you call him better than Kobe or whoever, but I think he is not a number 1.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 8:16pm #190406
HaleParticipantYou’re the only one who thinks he isn’t a number one. If you read the article, it compared parts of their games and Tmac won in DEFENSE and passing. McGrady was a better playmaker then Kobe has ever been and is a good rebounder and a very good defender on D when he tries (same as Kobe). Knicksboy honestly sometimes you just act stupid, you change things like words: he admitted he never played hard. He didn’t say that. He said he didn’t aways go hard, which every player in the game can also apply too. There is a big difference. So your only argument is he is always hurt, true. Doesn’t mean he didn’t used to be amazing though.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 8:33pm #190408
Knicksboy34Participant“Knicksboy honestly sometimes you just act stupid”- Im 16…you sound 10 years old who wears a T-mac jersey 350 days a year
How am I acting Stupid because I have a opinion? There are people who think McGrady are overrated in the world and on this site. Some smarter then most people on this site. I’ve seen ESPN people say he is overrated. you would only point out the people who “help your argument”. You read a article with someone’s opinion….and you nut-hug it like this person’s article like he’s the smartest.
Say what you want call me names like your 12. Insult my intelligence but it really doesn’t matter. McGrady had a 4 year prime and Kobe has 4 rings. Like I said before, until McGrady wins 4 GAMES in the playoffs….he will always be a second-round virgin
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 8:34pm #190409
Knicksboy34ParticipantBefore you blow me….I saw many other sites beside ESPN that said he is overrated.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 8:48pm #190411
HaleParticipantKnicksboy, you sound stupid when you intentionally change words to make things go in your favor. It’s kind of embarassing. You have to make things up to help your argument. He never said: “I never go hard”. Seeing as how you are the one saying nuthug and all these things, you are the childish one and you are not even acting like your 16, you’re acting like you’re 8. I love how you come at me with all these disses and say I act young when I made a statement regarding you lying in your argument. I didn’t call you a name either so your statement about me calling you names if off, I said sometimes you just act stupid, like right now. You changed the wording again for your favor (2nd time in 2 posts). People need to not do that.
You state these guys saying he is overrated, yeah big deal, that is what he is now. No one, I repeat no one, called him overrated when he was in Orlando. Plus, go find me these ESPN writers that you think so highly of. Oh, and for “nuthugging” I think none on this site is worse then your passion for th Knicks. I wouldn’t be surprised if you said they are a better team then Chicago, hell Atlanta for that matter. You have more bias for the Knicks then anyone on this site has for anything. You know almost every player on their roster is a benchwarmer right? Your trying to deal your best player too. Pretty sure that I had a comeback for everything you said, and without stooping as low as you did managed to come out on top.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 9:03pm #190413
Knicksboy34ParticipantI made 1 mistake in a argument and you call me stupid? you insult my intelligence ( like i said) and I’m wrong?
you call me stupid on one mistake and you blow on one person who thinks McGrady was on Kobe’s level. It doesn’t matter to me. I just know Kobe has 4 rings and McGrady hasn’t won 4 games in a playoff set.
Wow, You bring the Knicks into this? For no reason? I’m not bias towards the Knicks. I’m a devoted fan. I went to playoff games and been a fan since 94. And you know what, I contribute to the site as well. You think im a knicks super homer but I’m not. I’m a NBA realist. You need to pull your head from T-mac’s sack bro. I can talk any team in the NBA backwards and forwards. I dont care what you think, I never anything once without explaining myself and why I think it weather you agree or disagree.
So go ahead, Throw out his teammates, throw out his playoff numbers, throw out the time he got “close”
Also, Funny how your complaining how I’m Bias toward the Knicks now…your just mad because I said something you disagreed with and you picked ONE WRONG PIECE OF INFO AND RAN WITH IT…CONGRATS
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 9:23pm #190416
HaleParticipantYou are bias, that is what a fan is. I am biased towards T-mac. I said sometimes you act stupid, I didn’t call you stupid (again, difference). I am not on T-macs sack or anything, I love how you say I act like I’m 10 for doing something I didn’t do and then you do the exact thing you called me 10 for doing. Hypocrite. *I have never called McGrady better then Kobe, I have only argued that he is a number 1 option and that he wasn’t overrated in Orlando.* Also blowing one person who agrees with me? Honestly, you are going overboard for nothing. I said atta boy. You need to grow up, you are acting like nothing more then an 8 year old.
Also, I never thought you were a fair weather fan, I can tell you’re not. That doesn’t mean you don’t overrate them. I don’t need to throw any numbers for McGrady, I have said what I wanted to say. It’s starred above. You have a temper issue though, you should deal with it. You go and put out all these names to try and insult me when I said one “sometimes you just act stupid” Yeah, well it’s true. You aren’t always right, you should learn that. I agree with most of your stuff and you do contribute to this site, a lot. There is no debating that. You should learn to admit you’re wrong sometimes though (not intending on this subject” Yes, you made one mistake, but the difference between it and the truth is substantial.
I am not mad either, I am disagreeing, get a grip man, you are acting like a baby. Why are you lowering yourself to this? You are top 3 most respected on the site but you are really acting childish by coming out at me with your homophobic disses.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 9:29pm #190419
Knicksboy34ParticipantYou never gave me a chance to correct it.
I’m tired. When your done blowing Mr. McGrady you should ask him why he’s always hurt, why he doesn’t play hard all the time and ask him why he never lead him team to 4 wins in the playoffs.
I dont have a anger problem. And I know I’m not always right, I said I was. All in All, I say ” Atta Boy” you dont need to insult my intelligence ever again.
On that note…I bid you ado and good night.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/25/2009 - 9:32pm #190420
HaleParticipantNot blowing McGrady (you can stop the homophobe stuff it’s annoying), probably gets hurt because he tries hard (oh god forbid) and my bad for not letting you correct it.
Peace

wuteverParticipantT-MAC is def an elite number one option type of player when he’ healthy, the thing is he rarely is healthy now a days.
