UKWildcat_11ParticipantObviously they were picked by many to be a national contender and to play against Kansas for the Championship. Does anyone think that after the loss to Georgetown, they are still heavy favorites for the National Championship game? I think we were all impressed when they blew out Villanova (With extraordinary ease), and we thought this team might be one of the only non-vulnerable heavyweights. But after 2 losses to a mediocre Louisville team and a loss in their 1st game of the Big East tourney, are they still as heavily favorited over higher seeded teams like Kentucky, Ohio State and Kansas State?

DanEboyParticipantOhio St isn’t a number 1 seed yet. They still have to win their tourney in my opinion. Just because the ‘Cuse lost today doesn’t mean they aren’t contenders anymore. They are still a favorite to win it in a wide open field.

QUINCEYi dont think one game in the conference tournament against a very good g’town team should change peoples minds about them. they still are contenders. kansas is the favorite though, even when the cuse were ranked number one

UKWildcat_11ParticipantI said higher seeds, not just other 1 seeds.
And I didn’t mean they’re out of it for good, I just meant are they more open for an upset than they used to be?

QUINCEYi dont think one game makes them more open to upsets. everyone already knew how to beat the zone. the problem is can they do it

JNixonParticipantY’all are acting like they lost to Rutgers or Providence. They lost to a team that could likely reach the Sweet 16 or Elite 8. Teams have found out some things in the zone, but that can be easily adjusted by changing up how guys anticipate passing lanes and who rotates where. I think Syracuse is still VERY capable of winning a title.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantThe thing is though, Cuse lost Arizne Onouaku (butchered that name) for an unknown amount of time.

knicksfan7ParticipantIsn’t it a wide open field every year??? Though, I do think Kansas is the best team in the field.
