Of course as an Orange fan, I check the box scores often, and I felt this one was noteworthy. I know its against Maine, but its 60-12 at halftime. Their defense will likely hold them under 20% shooting. And a shout out to my boy Mookie Jones with 3 3 pointers in the first half. This guy is a pure shooter with size, athleticism and defensive skill. You will be hearing a lot more about this kid, sooner than later. I suspect that Syracuse’s defense is going to make a lot of teams look bad this year, and unlike years past they don’t seem to play down to their competition.

SU is undefeated. And they were markedly better than UNC.

They do defend better now than they did with Flynn and those guys…they have alot of tough, hard-working defenders in the frontcourt and backcourt. And it doesn’t hurt that they have alot of talented offensive players that compliment each other as well…

Sweet Sixteen is always successful. Winning the Big East Tourney would be successful. But swett 16 to me is a baseline for big time programs to consider themselves successful. However I have final four aspirations for this team. Like Iguodala said this is a deep talented team with a diverse talent pool. They have length, size, defense, shooting, and cohesion. If they can get their bench playing well, this team goes 10 deep. Triche, Rautins, Johnson, Jackson, and Onuaku are a great defensive lineup, and they have some firepower on the bench in Jardine, Joseph, Jones, Riley and Southerland.
