JoeWolf1Good pickup, he’s a great rebounder, has good size and will provide some toughness off the bench.
Heres the artice…
The Suns signed forward/center Dwayne Jones on Monday to a partially guaranteed contract.
Jones and Leandro Barbosa were traded to Toronto on July 14 for Hedo Turkoglu. The Raptors waived him on July 16.
According to The Arizona Republic, the one-year deal guarantees him a small amount to come to training camp and another small portion if he makes the opening night roster.
“It gives us a chance to assess him some more,” said Suns president Lon Babby. “Everyone here really likes him.”

JoeWolf1Comon’ Jones is solid!! well, for a end of the bench kind of player. The guy is 6’11” 250 lbs and averaged 16 rebounds a game and shot 60% from the feild in the D-League last year. When you have Channing ( perimeter center ) Frye as your backup C, it’s a good pickup to add some toughness and rebounding when Lopez is in foul trouble. Ok, so he’s not a game changer or anything that puts Pheonix into another level but I’ve always liked him. The summer is driving me crazy, no football, no basketball so I’m analyzing the end of the bench players and training camp invites!!
