trelos6ParticipantA bit of a let down day. Not much worth noting for Charlotte when Frank the Tank isn’t playing at his best.
Willie Reed has had a few good games for the Heat, and Winslow only played 7 min.
The most interesting and best game was the Pacers v Pistons. BIG games from Turner and Young, despite getting utterly destroyed as a team.
Turner with 23pts, 8rbs, 4blk, 2stl, while shooting 9-16; and Young went for 25pts, 3rbs, 5ast, shooting 9-15 and making all 3 shots from deep.
From the Pistons, Johnson was again magnificent. He will likely start for the Pistons from Day 1. He dropped 20pts, 10rbs, 3stls, 2blks, 2ast, with 8-15 shooting ALL IN 26 min!!! Johnson is a winner, has a great motor, and while the Pistons were heckled for passing on Winslow, Johnson is certainly playing like a top 5 pick.

antiwork3000ParticipantBut this is only summer league where the Kings are defending champs with Ray McCallum as MVP so yeah…

omphalosParticipantStanley Johnson has really impressed. I didn’t know he had this level of ball-handling and body control.
He probably won’t start to begin with, but he’s a great sixth man off the bat with his ability to handle the ball and make plays.
Also Myles Turner is going to make people forget about Hibbert really quick, looks phenomenal this early in his career.
It’s great to see his proactive approach to his biomechanical problems paying off.
He looks every bit as good as Okafor thus far.

BleedGreen808ParticipantI think Turner’s play only adds to the idea that playing at Texas hurt his draft stock. Either he’s improved this much or Texas just didn’t go to him enough. It makes me wonder where he would have been drafted if he went to a different school. He put in a lot of work to improve his gait and it shows. I do think until he gets stronger the better centers like Dwight, Marc Gasol, DJ, etc will push him around. But the Pacers got a really talent young big with the 11th pick.
