I think this guy has a real chance of being an undersized change of pace backup point in the league, what about you guys?

It’d be a nice story, but it’s not gonna happen.

I use to say the same thing about myself. I’m 5’10 so if I were another foot taller maybe I could have been something. Don’t hear many guys saying if they were only 3 feet taller lol. Awesome story though

Danm, this dude is 2 feet tall. Some of the guys that are defending him are laughing, they aren’t even trying to put any real effort on D on him. Sorry, but he will never get in the NBA.

Obviously has skills, but in the nicest possible way, I think his playing in the NBA would just not work. Jahmani Swanson is his real name and looking it up, he was born in 1985 (making him too old for draft eligibility to begin with). The guy could get the occasional bucket, I mean possibly seeing that NBA defenders are on a whole other level than the guys he was going up against.

However, getting buckets is only one thing for a PG. Most of them can score, it is up to stopping others from scoring. Defense tends to be the biggest issue for players lacking size, regardless of position. Yes, Muggsy Bogues was indeed a great pressure defender and got a lot of steals. What made Muggs amazing was, he pressured the ball the entire way up the court. As an undersized PG, you pretty much have to do that, Muggsy was much more the exception of being able to do so as opposed to the rule.

We saw nothing of Mani Love playing defense. My guess is, that would be something teams would completely pick apart mercilessly. Not that he can not play defense, I am guessing he has advantages being low to the ground and could indeed get steals due to his proximity with the ball. Just have a major feeling that he would have little solution for NBA guys shooting over him any chance they got. Nice video, change of pace at the NBA level has major flaws in my estimation.

I’m legitimately concerned that the poster of this forum topic seriously entertained the idea of this small person being able to play at the next level

Why is a midget who is good at basketball a nice story? AND why are people going into in-depth analysis on why he won’t make the league?
