If you were a GM of any team and you got a call for a straight up trade for one guy for Anthony Davis (lets assume the cap would be made to work), is there any player you would not trade?

Cavs – Lebron (no thank you, can’t give up on the King after he decided to come home)

OKC – Durrant (no thank you, yes Davis is cheaper and yes I get him locked up for years to come, while Durrant can leave, but I’ve got Ibaka and my team really jells nicely around Durrant. Oh and Durrant is better.)

Anyone else untouchable for the Brow?

nobody outside of lebron or durant is untouchable, but there may be a few teams that might not pull the trigger. in most cases, however, the trade wouldn’t make sense in the first place. example would be russell westbrook. then their is the wait this year and see if say a team like milwaukee really believes one of their stars will be the best in the league someday. you just never know the mind of an nba gm. to your point though, anthony davis would be that guy the consenseus would want to build a team around after lebron and durant.

I don’t even think the Pells would trade Davis for Bron at this point, for Durant? they would probably pull the trigger

Yeah they would, a team of

      PG-Jrue Holiday

      SG-Eric Gordon

      SF-Lebron

      PF-Ryan Anderson

      C-Omar Asik

      Sixth- Tyreke

Would be a great team for LeBron

Anthony Davis and Ibaka would be pretty sweet inside.  Westbrook fits great, too.

Major hole at small forward though.

Ironically, Davis and Love sound ideal too.  Shawn Marion at the 3 with Irving and Waiters in the backcourt — not bad.

Straight up, Anthony Davis for Gerald Wallace.

And we’ll take Jimmer to match salaries.

Are you some of you guys serious?  Anthony Davis is good, but he isn’t there yet.  The super hype on him is disgusting.  100 percent they would trade him for Lebron James.

If the Pelicans traded Anthony Davis for LeBron, I guess they would make the playoffs but how much would you put on it?

LeBron, Tyreke, Asik, Ryan Anderson, Jru Holiday, and Eric Gordon sounds like a pretty decent team, but would that team be a CONTENDER?

Cleveland with Kyrie, Kevin Love, and Anthony Davis would be solid.

Ok, now you say that if the Cavs traded LeBron then Kevin Love doesn’t come.  Then you have Davis, Irving, and Andrew Wiggins.  That nucleus probably wins a couple of titles down the road.

If the Thunder had Davis to go with Ibaka and Westbrook I think that team is a contender.  Then you still have some other options like Reggie Jackson, Anthony Morrow, and you hope Perry Jones improves.  A front court rotation of Davis, Ibaka, Adams, Collison, Perkins, and McGary would give every team nightmares.  Westbrook would have the green light to play more of his game.  The Thunder would be the team to beat.

Durant on the Pelicans would be solid since they have other scorers like Gordon, Evans, and Holiday, plus Ryan Anderson and Omer Asik inside but maybe they fight for the playoffs with teams like the Mavs, Suns, and those guys.

That trade won’t work as the salaries don’t match.

What about Kevin Durant to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis AND Tyreke Evans?  If that is too much for Durant maybe the Pelicans ask for Reggie Jackson, too.

I think the Thunder would do this trade: Kevin Durant and Reggie Jackson for Anthony Davis, Tyreke Evans, Luke Babbit, and Russ Smith.  The Thunder also save $3 million.
