Gilbert Arenas did not play again tonight: against the Cavs, who are their supposedly rivals therefore he played against them last time. How can Wizards get away with sitting their best player, who is obviously healthy by the way he has played when in, in so many games down the stretch. He played one, then got 5 days rest to play against the cavs (because they had less a chance to beat them; yes i kno they won, who cares). Now, he has sat out 7 days and can’t play today??? I doubt he plays next game bcuz they are playing a bad team (toronto) and then they play them again. What will the wizards say when he misses 2 weeks in between games and then plays boston? Uhh… he had a set back u kno…ugh. Its not like the excuse that its a road game works here bcuz he had a lot of time to travel and its not like he would be in a rush to go to the next city. He would probably just fly back to washington. When EB came back for the clips, he played in all 8 games the clips had left. he played in each game for at least 25 minutes getting all the way up to 40 minutes in one game. It seems like the teams that tank are always the teams that are not usually in the lottery.

Why would the Wizardz Tank they are already near the Luxury Tax and will be over if they sign a 10 draft Pick. How bout if Baron Davis misses 70 odd games in two seasons see if you want to start your best player in a lone meaningless game. The Wiz do not tank they arev careful with their players. Plus we have a bunch of first round players on the bench who need seasoning and are not coming off three knee surgeries in two years. My Question to YOU is what does the wiz kids have to gain by playing Gilbert Arenas?

Since when is it expensive to sign a top ten pick? Rookie contracts are the cheapest contracts.

The wizards should trade the pick or one of there three main guys. Butler, Arenas, Jamison. It would help them out financialy and they could start over in the Free Agency.

It is expensive if you are over the slary cap like the Wizards which means that in order to sign a player there owner will have to pay a luxury tax. Top 5 Rookies make a least 3 to 5 million a year so signing a lottery is expensive if your team its at the limit

The Wizards have already stated that gil will only play in HOME GAMES! Who cares about the Clippers. And the only reason Brand played at the end of the year was to prove to other teams he could recover from major surgery, so he could get the hell out of the Clippers franchise and sign with another team. The clippers are one if the worst franchises in sports history.

Why the hell can’t he travel? he can. Therefore by saying he won’t play road games, they are setting up their tanking. O and Brand might have wanted to play for that reason, however, at least the clips didn’t say no u can’t play bcuz were tanking. the wizards are doing that now. Gil loves playing basketball, do u think he would rather not travel instead of playing road games?

Yeah but that petty 3 to 5 million might be worth possibly turning their franchise around, its not like they are signing some big time 15 mil a year free agent. But I do agree trading one of their big three guys just to mix it up a little because they weren’t getting too far with that group of guys anyway.

The Wizards actually have tons of talent but lack quality big men. I think if Haywoode were healthy and they don’t fire their coach, they would have at least came close to making the playoffs but then again they are in the East.

Gil told the Wizards he was only playing at home games and then the Wizards announced that and what exactly does gil have to play for? The wizards are in last place its not like gil is in a contract year like brand was in and its very likely gil will get hurt again because it happened when he tryed to return last season for a hopeless playoff run. The only thing he has to gain is building chemistry on the court with his team. That is why he is only playing in home games. It is a more relaxed environment and despite the fact that the Wizards have only won eighteen games, thirteen of them have been at home.
