sitlbitoParticipantA bummer as a international overseas basketball fan,but that was to be expected. According to Marcus Thompson of the Mercury news. Official reason is to rest his knee, unofficial reason might be because of Zika. It’s surprising because in the interviews,Curry looked like 60-40 he would go,and apparently he already told USA basketball he was out. What I don’t understand is,if he already told them, why not say it? But there’s no reason to doubt Marcus Thompson’s report, considering he knows Curry as well as any member of the media.

Memphis MadnessParticipantOk, we know who ISN’T going to the ZIKALYMPICS, but who IS GOING?
That might be easier to keep track of…

If I am Steph Curry and the rest of the Warrors organization I try to get Draymond Green next year’s MVP award.
Steph already has 2. He played somewhat limited minutes this year… I would limit his minute another 2 or 3 minutes a game with a few extra games off. No need to chase the all-time wins record next year.
Klay is a great player too, but they need him more for crunch time and as a closer.
Next year’s MVP award could be between LeBron, Russell Westbrook, Durant, Anthony Davis, and Draymond Green.
Let Draymond Green take over, take some pressure off Steph and Klay — YUGE run for them the past 2 seasons.
Draymond is setting up for one of those 18-9-7 years anyway…
He is probably the current favorite for THIS Finals MVP award right now.
