I agree that Barton is a bigger steal and the Bulls wiffed by not drafting him or a guy like Doron Lamb instead of Teague not sure why you got negged so bad.

I have just noticed the Evan Fournier has gotten the start in Denver and Iggy has moved to SF and Chandler back to the bench.

Is the young French-men the steal of last years draft? He has 16/4/2 through 3 qtrs.

…but in the deeper region, I’d go with Tyler Zeller. He’s earned a lot of trust in Cleveland as probable long-term starter, and is anybody surprised? He’s a relatively athletic and very skilled 7-footer who consistently proved himself against the toughest college competition. Trading away a few later picks to nab Zeller in bottom half of the first round was probably a no-brainer for the Cavs.

Being in Cleveland, I was very pro-Zeller at the beginning of the year, and I thought he showed some nice flashes off the bench. However, he’s been mostly awful since he got inserted into the starting line up. Rebounds poorly, doesn’t post up and is soft. Not a bad back-up center, that’s about it, definitely not a steal, in fact I would rather have Ezeli and Crowder (with the picks that got traded) than Zeller.

What makes him a steal? That fact he’s starting or the fact he seems to be having a decent game (for a former-bench player)?

Jarred Sullinger seems the most like a steal to me. He was pretty productive for Boston before his surgery if my memory serves me well.

Well is my memory serves me well Sullinger dropped in the draft because of back issues and then went on to hurt his back halfway through the year and needing surgery. So no Sullinger wasn’t really a steal.

You obviously failed to look at his numbers while he was playing. Pretty decent rebounding for a guy with limited minutes and a bad back to boot if you ask me, so yes, he was a steal considering where he was drafted.

Drummond at 9 is the biggest steal. If they did the draft over again he’d be picked second behind AD. I also think that soon people will see that Henson at 14 was a great steal too.

Not the steal of the draft, but Pablo Prigioni was a great find for the Knicks in the 2nd round

    Dude, its one game. Chill.

Agree that Drummond looks like a steal at this point.

I was always interested to see how Fournier turns out….

Same with J.Lamb. Doesn’t make it easy when your on a stacked team and spend most of your time on the bench.

Just ask Doug Collins (vucevic) and Scott Skiles (Tobias Harris) about not giving hidden gems enough playing time to shine…

I think Fournier absolutely could be the steal of this draft. And if he is, that’d be the 2nd year the Nuggets turned a low pick into a legit NBA player.

Not sure Drummond is a “steal” he was ninth overall, he’s supposed to be good. He hasn’t shown he can be great yet, just the potential to be good.

In a few years looking back I think Mo Harkless will be considered a huge steal. I’m convinced that if Harkless had stayed for his Soph year he’d be the 1st pick in this draft because he would of dominated the Big East and his combination of youth, physical tools, and production would of made him a 1st pick. Think Otto Porter had a good year, imagine if Harkless stayed too he would of had a signigicantly more impressive year as a soph at St. Johns then Porter at G’Town did.

how we can say who are steals of the draft?

we haven’t seen much of Perry and Jeremy Lamb for example but they could be really good
