TomShoeParticipantSheesh, everybody’s in foul trouble. Ibaka had 2 in the first 53 seconds.

FastAndFuriousParticipantLast night, my cousin said OKC couldn’t beat the Spurs in 7 because they don’t have good half court offense, but I told him OKC is scary in transition and can’t be stopped when they push the ball, look at tonight prime example.
Spurs are trying to run with them, they’re falling right into the trap, OKC will beat the spurs 9/10 in a running game, they can beat any team in the league in a running game, too athletic.

GrandmamaParticipantRussell Westbrook plays way too out of control at times…

B-ball fanParticipantThunder have been really resilient. It looked like the Spurs were going to come all the way back early in that quarter, but the Thunder ended up outscoring the Spurs in the third. Durant is really heating up. He looks ready to close the game out.

B-ball fanParticipantI am tired of watching Tony Parker’s defense. He fouls every possession, moving his hands, not his feet. The refs should call him for a few fouls and make him play real defense.

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant2012 playoffs
The moment James Harden was accepted as a star in the league and the third best SG in the NBA, soon to be 2nd and someday 1st.

I May Be WrongParticipantWestbrook would have been unfairly blamed for this loss if the Thunder were to lose this game (Tony flopped, Harden forced that inbound play) … However, Westbrook makes the cluthc jumper to give them some breathing room….and HARDEN with the dagger 3!
Great game, OKC just has to play it out and hit their FTs.

B-ball fanParticipantMan, Durant makes a big mistake, Apparently didn’t realize that their was less than a shot clock left and the Spurs would pressure him. He needed to move it up quicker. Huge blunder. Lucky he isn’t LeBron.

joecheck88ParticipantI thought Westbrook played well. He had a few turnovers but he got guys in their spots and picked his well. Like the Harden 4 point play. He was aggressive and not settling too much. He over dribbled a few times but all in all he had a good game.

NYK2010ParticipantWestbrook made it interesting late too much dribbling.
He needs to pass the ball more, those iso plays don’t work.
If Harden doesn’t make that 3 the game could’ve ended differently.

omphalosParticipantYou can just hear the frustration building in Steve Kerr the more he watches Westbrook play. Westbrook has really underwhelmed me with his ability to run the offense, but as Brooks said, they are a defensive team first, so that’ll keep him out there. It’s ridiculous that Durant went the whole second quarter without a field goal attempt, and the blame has to be placed squarely on Westbrook.
I like what OKC did having Durant bring up the ball for stretches in game 4, it solves their problem with getting Durant free in the half-court, and Durant also makes some very good passes. Was surprised to see so many blown dunks by Durant, but you can see how angry he got when he missed and he made up for it. I remember one time he got fouled in transition but the ref swallowed his whistle, so Durant hustled back, forced the steal and then led the break. He’s definitely got that competitive fire in him, every time I see him play I have to remind myself he’s only 23 years old.
I used to dislike the Spurs, but I fell in love with their ball movement and team play this season. Until game 5, where they were blatantly trying to get Ibaka in foul trouble with flopping and other underhanded moves. Those first two fouls were ridiculous, Parker just shouldered Ibaka on the first, and Manu stopped short deliberately so that Ibaka would be unable to avoid running over him. Also, Westbrook getting called of an offensive foul when all he did was catch the ball and raise it was also ridiculous. Love that Parker got called for a similar foul to Ibaka and the ref just wasn’t having a bar of it after the Spurs did the same thing earlier in the game.
One thing I will say though is that there has been far too many charges being drawn in these playoffs. It’s ridiculous that someone can just throw their body in front of you as you’re going up and it’s called a charge. It’s a man’s game, make the men play actual D instead of "protecting the paint" by falling over whenever someone comes near you. That charge call on Kawhi Leonard when he was shooting that floater was appalling, but sad to say it’s not the first time I’ve seen it.
As much as I like seeing OKC win, seeing Fisher and Collison draw questionable charges on a regular basis is not why I watch basketball.
I hope OKC closes it out in game 6, I might have been born to late to fully enjoy Jordan, but I’m sure as hell not missing out on Durant.

MKG_AllDayParticipantThis home game coming up on Wenesday is the time to finish of the Spurs. OKC passing ability is so much better these last 3 games

NYK2010ParticipantWestbrook 1of 5 shooting with 4 turnovers in the 4th qtr and a foolish foul on Duncan on an and 1 isn’t gonna get it done.
Especially when 2 of those turnovers were on back to back possessions with the Spurs making a comeback with less than 4 mins to go.
Also when he drew a foul on Parker he smacked the ball down hard near the ref and got a glaring look he could’ve been hit with a Tech there.
Worst play was after he made a jump shot the next possession he drove out of control the rim with a 4 pt. lead and the shot clock not even under 10. Need to use the clock some there and run a play with the offense with a screen or play in control.
Not sure how Durant gets 0 shots the last 4 plus mins. They need to go back to what worked for them in Game 4 where they got Durant the ball at the top of the key with his back to the basket no way they stop that unless they double.
