NBA rumor central on twitter reported that the Spurs and looking to deal with the Pacers to get the #10 pick so they can take Ed Davis.

What kind of trade could you guys see here?

    Maybe one involving Tony Parker?

    My Mock Deal

San Antonio gets: Brandon Rush, 10th pick, Josh McRoberts
Indiana gets: 21st pick, Tony Parker

If they could only get a Tiago to come over and play! Is this the same player they are chasing in the draft?

By the way is it me or are more and more Euro players “declining” to coming to the NBA?

I heard he is. Draftexpress’ twitter has been talking about him alot. Calls him ” His preseason favorite for ROY 2010-2011″

I think Spiltter will be a beast next to Duncan.

I think you would have to throw in Troy Murphy in that deal (for money) and the Spurs keep their pick but otherwise I like it.

If Indiana has to throw in Troy Murphy, I would force S.A. to throw in that pick.

Who is arguably still one of the top ten point guards in the league (when healthy), to draft Ed Davis? Why in the world would they want to do that? There must be alot more pieces to this potential deal.

Because they feel George Hill can handle the pressure of being a starting guard?

Then Ed Davis. I mean he’s a “nice” prospect…but they already have Duncan, Blair, MyDyess, and Splitter apparently on the way. I know they were trying to trade up to 3 to get Favors.

Favors is the guy the Spurs really like, but they don’t have the contracts to make a deal with N.J. They could swap Parker and the No. 20 for Devin Harris, Keyon Dooling and the No. 3, but the Nets would likely want more — probably DeJuan Blair — and that’s a deal-breaker for S.A.

Sounds like Plan B is Parker/No. 20 to Indy for Troy Murphy, Brandon Rush and the No. 10. With Murphy on board the Spurs could live without Matt Bonner, and with Murphy and Jefferson off the books after the 2010-11 season, S.A. could be a free agent player next summer.

Parker and the No. 20 for Murphy, Rush and the No. 10??

I’ll have to chew on that one for awhile.

Pacers would be a playoff team.

Granger, and Parker is a great duo.

The Spurs want to draft a left handed big who plays defense next to Duncan. Reasoning for this theory.. David Robinson who was Duncan’s sidekick was left handed and they feel that if they can acquire either Favors or Davis, it will prolong Duncan’s career.

Parker could really raise the overall play of that team.

And keep Tony Parker? Wouldn’t that be the best of both worlds? You still get a good young big to play alongside Timmy, and still have a top notch playmaker in Parker. I can’t see Davis making that significant of an impact as a rookie, and wouldn’t he eat into Blair’s minutes? Is that a good thing? Not so sure. I was really impressed with Blair.

With a youth movement…maybe “long term” a deal with Denver for Ty Lawson would make more sense.

espn reported that the nuggs were interested in the 10 for lawson also. the nuggs are wanting to add some size.

i think the spurs are looking to deal parker for the 10 and either the expiring contract of murphy or dunleavy. i don’t think they are going to throw in the 21st pick either, but if they did, it would make it easier to me to believe elliot williams does not have a guarantee there.

The Spurs are very high on Favors from what I’ve read. Favors has worked out for the Spurs and although I don’t think the Spurs are willing to give up what it would take to get him, it’s still a possibility and Tony Parker would certainly be involved.
