valentineeventhough they were the top team in the season, they acquired Kawhi Leonard, Corey Joseph and Davis bertans. they got a high energy player for Kawhi which they really need ,they got Davis Bertans a sharp shooter with the size and the potential of cory joseph who could back up toni, so the Big three would not be worn out, (old guys do worn out!),
sure, they lost george hill, but they got Gary neal who can sub and score automatically, they lost a good sixth man which in return, the big 3 is still intact and Energy players who can run the floor while the 3 rest,
Kawhi is the future of the spurs though i really want faried to be drafted, he is similar with blair, though taller,

rileymcshea3ParticipantI do agree im a Mavs fan so i hate the Spurs and im actually kinda scared of the Spurs getting Kawhi because he will be a solid back up defender behind Jefferson .

thparadoxParticipantKawhi will play starters minutes at SF next year. It’s a terrific pick because he’s a great rebounder/defender, and that’s exactly what the Spurs needed. RJ looked awful at the end of the season.
I wonder if the Spurs were targeting Leonard at 5 or 7 with that Parker trade rumour. Interesting that he slipped so far.
Cory Joseph really got lucky to land with the Spurs.
Also, Adam Hanga looks like a great prospect as well. 6’5 PG

bigdaddybluesmanParticipantIt’s amazing how the Spurs turned nothing into a really good draft. That’s why they are winners and teams like the Cavs are losers, if not for LeBron they would have been terrible and they will be for a long, long time now.
