nateoak10ParticipantFirst let me say Larry Riley is the worst GM if he does this : #Warriors offer for Melo would be Stephen Curry, Biedrins, and picks…GSW unsure tho about parting w Curry
NJ is the fave though: Hearing from an #NBA league source that the #Nets are not including Brook Lopez in any trade discussions w #Nuggets 4 Carmelo Anthony / #Nets look like favorites now but are fighting including lopez…Harris, Favors, and picks are package
#Nuggets discussions w Chicago involves a package of Luol Deng and Taj Gibson
#Warriors, #Bulls, and #Clippers are also in mix for for Melo…LAC are long shot according to #NBA league source

WizardofOzParticipantIf the Bulls were to get Melo just by giving up Deng and Gibson, they would be my favorites coming out of the East, even over the Heat.

kaceyParticipantIf the Warriors could package Ellis instead of Curry, then what you think? Anthony would be a nice piece for the Warriors to obtain, but I agree parting with Curry is a bit much.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantLuol Deg and Taj Gibson? No way in hell. Deng is making $51.3 million over the next 3 years, that’s the last thing the Nuggets want.

WizardofOzParticipantThe Denver-GSW deal would be a good deal for the Nuggets. The Nuggets have said that they are interested in expiring contracts, young talent, and draft picks. Stephen Curry is 22 and Biedrins is 24 and they are both young and talented players. But I think that GSW would be hesitant to give up Curry. Maybe if they swapped curry with Mona like kacey4321 said, then the trade might fall through.
The Denver-NJN deal would be a good start for Denver’s rebuilding process, especially if they can get Lopez. They would get a lot of young talent that has so much potential + picks. But, I doubt that the Nets will be willing to part ways with Lopez.
Like sammybuckeye13 said, the Nuggets would not want Luol Deng’s contract. In order for this deal to fall through, the Bulls might have to include some picks and/or another young player and even if they do that, I still don’ see this deal falling through.

Mr. ChicagoParticipant@sammybuckeye13
Deng’s deal is over 4 years. http://hoopshype.com/salaries/chicago.htm
@WizardofOz
What makes you think Denver would do that deal. Then they are handing out $20 mill/yr for the next four years to an injury prone center and a motorcycle accident. http://hoopshype.com/salaries/golden_state.htm
And. I agree if they can pry Lopez that is obviously the nest deal, young centers are tough to come by.

getbucketsParticipantI think steph curry is a really nice player… but for anyone to say that steph curry would be a bit much to give up? give me melo on my squad over steph curry everyday

LMFAO. You see how your deal compares to a actual deal? Not even close man. If I was Golden State, I would do this if I can move Monta in another deal.

Mr. ChicagoParticipant@Mr.Knick 32
And there is your conundrum “if I can move Monta in another deal.” Without Curry or Biedrins, this is going to difficult. His contract is terrible.
@getbuckets
It’s all relative, you have to look at this way, Stephen Curry for 3 years on a rookie contract or a rental of Carmelo for a year. We all know he is out after this year. He wants to go to a big market and the east coast.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantMonta Ellis is not a terrible contract. In fact, his numbers are fantastic. He’s a 25-5-4 guy with 2 steals a game. I think we as fans rip players who have attitudes too much. When I thought Monta was NY bound, I was excited.
He’s a top 30 player to me who in the right system with the right coaching and people around him- He could be a #2 option on a Championship team.

primetimeParticipantI think its too much of a risk to include Steph Curry in the trade, esp when we’re unsure if Melo will resign. Curry had a fantastic rookie season and he is the face of The Warriors franchise. If we’re 100% sure melo would resign, then go for it. But if there’s any doubt…I would not include Steph in that trade.

ZEOParticipantWhat if the lakers trade Ron Ron n Vujacic for Melo. This would make the Lakers unstoppable way better than the Heat. And the Nuggets we’ll get the best deal they can get!

Da1potParticipantThe Nuggets need to inquire to to the Wizards about who is available in my opinion. Being able to get either Mcgee, Blatche and Nick Young would really help the Nuggets. Acquiring Young would make trading Smith easier and getting Blatche would make Martin more expendable. I doubt the WIzard will trade Mcgee, but if it was for Melo, they would have to consider it. I think the reason Melo is not interested in D.C. is because of Arenas……

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantNOBODY IS GOING TO TRADE FOR CARMELO UNLESS IT’S A SIGN AND TRADE/ OR ITS DEFINITE THAT HE IS SIGNING A LONG-TERM DEAL WITH SAID TEAM.
