21yoGMParticipantI see the New Jersey nets finishing 3rd in the eastern conference. I’m not sold the Toronto Raptors. Al Horford’s injury all but killed Atlanta’s chances. The Wizards who should get the 3 seed are just to inconsistent and have got anything from the number 3 pick in the draft Otto Porter. Lastly, the bulls almost have to tank for the future of their franchise.

LitteringAnd…ParticipantLook it’s certainly possible, they’re only 3 games behind Atlanta, Toronto and Washington. However, I don’t think it’ll happen, the roster is too fragile and they’re missing their best player for the long term. They’re also week in conference play (.440) while those three aforementioned teams are much stronger (.564). Lastly this whole "bold prediction’ thing is a bit contrived, I mean, 90% of the time it’s just: ‘pick something statistically unlikely and say you think it’ll happen’.

HitsterParticipantLooking at the standings that isn’t such a bizzare statement as it first seems. I think we all agree that Pacers and Heat will be top two teams out East. The key for Brooklyn is to win their division first to guarantee a top 4 seeding. I could see them getting ahead of the Raptors and maybe one of Atlanta and Washington so I’ll say maybe 4th seeding for them possibly behind Washington if they can keep Wall in particular and Nene sound.

TyroberParticipantYou are probably going to get a lot of hate for this because many people probably don’t realize they are only 3 games out of 3rd place in the East. They have went on a heater and are no longer the terrible 10-22 team. They’ve been playing much better and if they stay healthy it isn’t out of the question for them to grab the 3rd seed. I am an Atlanta fan and I really hope they completely miss the playoffs, but it does not look like that is happening.

druneave3ParticipantIf the Bulls win tonight they would be 3rd in the East with a .500 record. Anything is possible. Just be patient and we will get Miami vs. Indiana. I think it will be worth the wait. Until then, it doesn’t really matter who gets what spot in a terrible division.

JD’s_TimberpuppiesParticipantI copied and pasted a portion of this from a previous post but it made a lot of sense here. I really think they could do something but how they use their players and how they distribute minutes is important.
Pg: D. Williams 36 mins
Sg: Joe Johnsons 36 mins
Sf: Alan Anderson 30 mins
Pf: Paul Pierce 32 mins
C: Kevin Garnett 28 mins
Bench: Livingston 32 mins
Blatche 32 mins
Telenovic 22 mins
Terry 22 mins
I think it is important for Livingston to remain playing a lot of minutes….he has been too good and his defense is really making an impact on this team. The older vets need their minutes limited. Blatche has to be the main big off the bench and play a lot because he is flat out a baller. Terry and Telanovic can just shoot it, not much else but need to play some. The key here is for how Kidd mixes and matches these guys. I like Pierce playing a lot with the second team.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantNot exactly bold.
Anybody could finish 3rd in a terrible Eastern Conference.
