DunksNJordans23ParticipantSince there is this mysterious phenomenon called the sophomore slump in sports where the athlete has a lesser second season as a pro than their first, who do you think will suffer from such a thing?
Wesley Johnson- With the addition of Derrick Williams with Beasley still on the roster Johnson’s touches will probably go down making it difficult for him to improve upon his mediocre rookie season. Not exactly what I had in mind to factor a sophomore slump, but close enough.
Other notables: Landry Fields, Eric Bledsoe, and Gary Neal.

Krypt14ParticipantI don’t think Fields will suffer much of a slump, his high basketball IQ and hustle will continue to make him an effective player and also it’s not like he will be a guy that teams really try to shut down given that Amare and Carmelo are on the team and are much bigger concerns. I agree Johnson could struggle to make the same impact with Beasley and Williams taking minutes and touches away from him.

franfranParticipantBlake Griffin, Eric Gordon with no injuries, the offense will have less pressure on Blake.
I agree with DunksNJordans23 on Wesley Johnson.
Patrick Patterson with the appearance of Marcus Morris and Motiejunas Donatas.

Bison 49ParticipantEvery Rookie that played last year … Stern is going to throw the season in the crapper by being a dink.
*Serious response to come in a little.

iguapops420ParticipantDon’t really think to many of the rookies from last year will get a slump due to the fact that none of them save for Griffin,Wall had phenomenal rookie years. If was to say one, I too would agree with Fields. His playoffs numbers were atrocious and he just didn’t seem like a good fit beside of Melo. Not to mention that he’ll probably be fighting for starter minutes Vs. Shumpert. Fields would be a much better 6th or 7th man IMO.

Bison 49ParticipantWow, I had my message edited for saying D*** with an N instead of a C. Just saying I was trying to respect the no swearing policy on the site while saying my piece about the NBA’s fearless leader, and it looks like I was dissing forum rules and dropping bombs. My bad.
On the other hand, if it is a full edit that was innitiated by a recent David Stern policy stating that no one, not even fans, or members of the general public is allowed to say anything that in any way criticizes him, or jepordizes his authority, David Stern, you are a tyrant who is being worked like a puppet by your stakeholders.
