D-Wade is the best player in the league right now, even better than the Self-declared former "KING" – LeBron James!!

it’s not coincidence that Wade already has a ring on his belt as a number 1 guy and James does not, even though James made good strides of improvment as a player this year, Wade is still a much harder player to stop for the defense than James – when the defense is real, tight, focus and at the full force, meaning: in the playoff not in regular season. cause wade is the Flash!!! compared to James, he is much more quicker, more masterful in skills and has better game feel, Wade could be unstoppable in every situation!!!

also in those playoffs Wade is the best and most important heat player, in the first round series against the Sixers he was slightly better than James, in the Boston series – the most difficult series Heat will gonna see he was the main man and had one of the greatest individual series of all time, also in the finals he is clearly the best player of Miami, only against the unexperience Chicago Bulls he agreed to be the second man and let James to take over.

lets face it: Wade > LeBron, when it count!!

I still much rather have LeBron over Wade. Wade can just DISAPPEAR a times.

here is where i disagree…lebron made big shot after big shot when it mattered against Chicago…D-Wade has took over the past 2 wins but LeBron is still the superior player, lets not kid ourselves just because we dont like lebron (kobyz)

Whoa!! Both Players have had their Moments !!

Lebron was the Go 2 Guy in the Bulls series…Wade averaged only 18 points during the Bulls series..

Wade has always Destroyed the Mavs….

They dont need 2 Superstars trying to TAKE OVER AT THE SAME TIME…

Something sure does have to be said. It is crazy how people forget so quickly. Let’s just forget that LeBron was the go to guy in the Celtics and Bulls series. People were questioning Wade in the Bull’s series because he was behind both James and Bosh. Don’t get me wrong, Wade is a great player and one of my favorite guys in the NBA but just because LeBron has been a little quiter the last couple games doesn’t mean he all of the sudden can’t do it in the 4th quarter. He knows that Wade has a better matchup right now and is letting him take the rains.

As per usual, Rick Reilly is awesome. Also, LeBron James may not be the Finals MVP (emphasis on may, not to mention that the Finals are not over and the Heat still need to win it more than likely for Wade or LeBron to be the Finals MVP), but I think he is the best player in the NBA regardless. People love to have any reason to hate him after "The Decision", or just in general, but he has played amazing basketball this entire season and is the biggest reason Miami is in the Finals. Dwyane Wade is a fantastic basketball player, but he played with a much different Shaq than LeBron did last year, not to mention having a significantly more helpful supporting cast than Bron ever had in the CLE. You can believe whatever you want, but I will stick to my belief that LeBron is indeed the best player in basketball right now, and I do not think I am alone in this theory.

Lebron is the best player in the game, its just that Dwade has had a few good games and people are bandwagoners and jump on the first chance to hate on LBJ, even completely forgetting that he has carried them for most of the playoffs…lol smh Dwade was GONE during the chicago series for the most part

Wade doesn’t win that championship without Shaq. Actually he doesn’t even get close without Shaq. I love Wade’s game don’t get me wrong but he did not win that as the best player. Even if his numbers were better than Shaq is doesn’t mean he was the best player. Lebron is the best player in the world, i dislike Lebron more than almost any athlete ever, and there is really no argument. Just think about what Lebron does on both sides of the floor and don’t just look at numbers. Lebron is probably the best all around defensive player in the league, he can man up on anyone in the league pretty much, he can play any position on offense. D-Wade can’t post up bigger guys and can’t guard post players. That alone makes Lebron the better player.

I made a thread about this during the BULLS series and got ripped apart over it.  I agree with the author on this one.  My point at that time was not that Wade is better then Lebron…  but with the game on the line I want the ball in Wade’s hands, not Lebrons.  Wade is a tried and true closer.  Lebron has struggled most of his career closing out games one on one.  If I was starting a team from scratch I’ll take Lebron any day of the week over Wade.  If I’m looking for a game winning/tying shot/drive pitch out to the corner… Its got to be Wade.

    1. Lebron

    2. Kobe and Wade (tie)

    3. Dwight H

    4. Chris Paul, I know what your thinking but watch how he controls the game offensively and defensively, most point guards only control the game offensively.

    5. Kevin Durant and Amare Tie

According to 82Games, Lebron scored more "clutch" points than Wade this season while shooting a higher percentage. Needless to say Lebron had more rebounds and assists during clutch time as well. Lebron really doesn’t have a weakness at closing or finishing games and considering he does so much more than Wade in other important aspects of the game (like guarding Derrick Rose in the last seconds) you really have to admit that Lebron is the better player.

But both players are great, so we are just talking about where they rank in the top five as far as current go to guys in the league, even if you like Wade a little better, you know it is just by a little and you wouldn’t mind the ball being in Lebron’s hands to finish a game.

Incidentally, I’d put the ball in Nowitzki’s hands over either of them in any case.

    My opinion:

    1. LeBron James
    2. Dwyane Wade
    3. Dwight Howard
    4. Kobe Bryant
    5. Dirk Nowitzki

Also, you can’t even argue the "Wade’s better late" because LeBron James single handedly CLOSED both Boston and Chicago series.

Wade matchs up better with Mavs but it doesn’t make him better, in fact I believe it is the Mavs strategy to have Bosh and Wade beat them.

Wade is playing like a cross between Kobe and Derrick Rose.  LeBron is playing like a cross between Magic and Pippen.  And both are having Jordanesque moments.  They are starting to figure it out.  LeBron is SCARY now in that he can dominate games WITHOUT SCORING by just passing and playing defense and letting D-Wade take shots if he is hot.  Then, if the other team is not looking (or even if they are) then LeBron will drive down the lane and dunk on everyone’s head.

The Heat team is built for the playoffs.  Two premier superstar and an all-star for a third option who is really sneaky.  Bosh can score some inside and hit some jumpers too.  He is good at spacing the floor and not clogging up the middle.  Joel Anthony is a solid shot-blocking center who isn’t vastly overpaid, Mario Chalmers is a killer off the bench, and Udonis Haslem is a great enforcer/scorer off the bench.  Mike Bibby had ONE good game this series (14 points, but ironically the Mavs got their only win in that game) but he has not been dominated by Jason Kidd and he is halfway decent at keeping the offense flowing.  … Mike Miller ain’t great but he is not the liability that Peja is.  If Miller gets hot from 3, great, but if he can’t hit shots he can still rebound and do other things.  If Peja is cold, then he is a disaster on the court.  Just like in the conference finals, the Heat’s bench is doing just enough to win.  The Heat’s bench is mentally tough.  They are great at neutralizing other teams’ benches that are supposedly better.  In the Chicago series Haslem played very well and neutralized Taj Gibson.  In this series Chalmers came in in the last game and neutralized Jason Terry.  … Juwan Howard is also giving them good minutes.  He’s the third enforcer behind Anthony and Haslem.  Ironically, LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Chalmers, and Joel Anthony might be the new Fab Five.

This series has the best three guys in the league with Wade, Dirk, and LeBron.  Dirk is the best shooter and Wade is the best slasher.  Both are the best pure scorers right now.  LeBron is the best all-around player and the best two-way player (offense and defense).  He is basically doing a lot of the dirty work (playing defense, setting guys up) allowing Wade to score and getting Bosh open jump shots.

    It’s Wade’s team, but it’s LeBron’s league.

    1. Lebron

    2. Dirk yea I said it, I would rather have Dirk over Kobe to win an NBA game right now.

    3. Dwight maybe not the 3rd most skilled by anymeans, but what he does for a teams defense is just amazing and hes still a good offensive player.

    4. Kobe Old mans still very damn good

    5. Wade/ Rose tie. I think these players are about at the same level right now. Tough to compare from the serie though because the defensive focus was way higher on Rose than it was Wade. But I would say its a Tie.

Prisoner of the moment, you don’t become the best player by having a good few games,or scoring at will against a guy who is a shell of himself at 38. Just like Lebron is the best defender in the league       (D.Howard says hello everyone) because he locked up a few straight games. They are playing well and they feel a championship is close, but lets not over react. Just say they are playing good ball

Wade is the best player in the league.

Wade struggled shooting in the Chicago series but  Miami didn’t need his scoring.

He was hurt a lil too but they were never really tested outside of Game 1 in the Conf. Finals.

Wade isn’t the best player. If Wade was the top dog on his own team, they would of lost to Chicago. You cant have a series that bad when your an elite superstar when your not even the main focus of the defense such as Rose was for the heats defense. Wade wouldn’t be in the finals without Lebron. You guys seriously stop judging the last 2-3 games you saw them play and just assume that they can do that every night. Wade is damn good but lets not over react from a few games.
