TripleDoubleScoutParticipantIts well known by now that Charlotte doesn’t want its #2 pick. It’s also known that there are star players that are currently trade bait. Those players being: Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, Danny Granger, Rudy Gay, Andre Igoudala, and Tyreke Evans. It’s my firm belief that the most realistic option for Charlotte from this list is Evans. It’s been reported that Sacramento is about ready to give up on him. Here’s the proposal as I see it: the #2, ty thomas, throw in players and picks, a protected 2013 first rounder for evans kings’ protected 2013 first rounder. Win win for both teams.

Wahoo757ParticipantSo something huge is going down according to a reputable source or just according to some dude on a draft website that has made 3 posts?

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantSeriously zachb? You want me to source articles about Charlotte looking to trade the #2 pick, as well as trade rumors involving all the players I mentioned? Where have you been the last month and a half bro? Lol

mgreener_34ParticipantHonestly Charlottes best bet is to keep the pick, who ever it might be, and hope that they win the lottery in the next couple of years. Evans isn’t the awnser (and plays the possition of two of their best players already), and they shouldn’t look at add payroll. I wouldn’t mind them drafting MKG to create a great defensive unit with Biyombo, and hopefully get a star next year in Mo or Noel.

jhbm24ParticipantStop being a douche. He is just sayin he believes something is gonna happen with the bobcats, let him talk without haters like you trying to act like you know everything.
And it is a possibility that they trade it but I don’t see the bobcats trade to another top 5 team unless they get that pick back plus a player.

ghettosermonParticipantIf Oklahoma City has taught us anything if you have a ton of high picks you should build through the draft. Landing a star player undoubtedly will require them to part with more than the #2 pick but also future picks and maybe Gerald Henderson and any other asset they may have. No point in blowing your future assets for a player who won’t take them anywhere now. Keep #2, anyone of Beal, Barnes, MKG, Drummond, or Robinson would help this team. Maybe you have another top 5 pick next year but eventually you will have the young assets to either compete or then turn that into the roster you want. Of course with Jordan drafting you never know but they really need to build through the draft. Trading any future picks would be disasterous, first order of business is I would amnesty Tyrus Thomas. 3 years/26 million is attrocious for what he gives you.

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantHey I actually agree with you. The thing is the bobcats front office doesn’t see it your way. Reports have made it clear they don’t want the pick and don’t believe any of this year’s top prospects outside of davis move the needle for them. Come to think of it, they are so horrible, they may be right

Wahoo757ParticipantFirst of all, calm down with the name calling. And what I meant by what’s your source is I have yet to hear the Bobcats express any interest in Tyreke Evans. I’ve heard Rudy Gay and I’ve heard James Harden, but this is the first I’ve heard of Bobcats wanting Tyreke. And it’s not as simple as putting two and two together with the Kings shopping Tyreke Evans and the Bobcats shopping the #2 pick.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantThe bobcats need help everywhere if I was them I would try to swing a deal with Cleveland for their 4,24, and one of their high picks or both in the second round

For_Never_EverParticipantGetting Tyreke for the 2# overall pick is not a win for the Bobcats. I wouldn’t give up any pick in the top ten for Tyeke.

joecheck88ParticipantBest thing for the bobcats would be to hope Drummond goes ham in workouts and becomes the clear cut # 2. Then the pick would have value but right now
Picks 2-6 are such a toss up that Charlotte is handicapped.

TallmanNYCParticipantIs this a joke?!? Evans has been on the league for three years now. He is a an Average guard. Good at some, things, bad at others. There is no way a number two pick is traded for him. You could throw in the entire Kings roster with him (excluding Cusin and Jimmer) and you wouldn’t get the number two draft pick.
The original poster is confused about the value of Evans.
Here is how it works. When a guy has amazing physical size and ability we get excited and expect great things. But after they have been in the league For three years, then those things gets less exciting. Evens needs to produce. No big time trades until that happens.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantI’d honestly rather have Tyreke then Thomas Robinson. Lets hope to god Jordan doesnt draft robinson. That team would be at a d leauge level.

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantNo tallmannyc. Evans is an ABOVE average guard with more potential to tap. Normally he wouldn’t be worth the #2 pick, but in this draft he is. Put it this way, outside of davis, is there a prospect this year that will SURPASS Evans’ first two years of production. People are seriously going overboard on Evans because of his antics, but he’s not exactly a scrub. The kid has talent
