Smush Parker is clapping back at Kobe Bryant’s most recent dis of the former NBA player. Parker, whose currently playing overseas told TMZ the only reason why Kobe is coming at him is because he once called Kobe “an overrated teammate.” But Smush has more to add about his time spent with the Lakers:

“Kobe told me out of his own mouth that I couldn’t talk to him. That my accolades under my belt weren’t deserving enough for me to talk to him.” He also says Kobe didn’t talk to most of his teammates.

Parker also said his stats prove he wasn’t “the worst” while in the NBA. “People lie, numbers don’t.”

Wow. Kobe is A a$$hole, I’m glad Kobe has matured and realized that individual awards don’t translate to team success. If he was the same now no one would want to play for him

but i mean that is what everyone knew at the time. everyone knew he was unhappy with the team’s talent level and its not like he’s calling out pau gasol to be a crappy player he’s calling out smush parker as a crappy player

Kobe’s just bein a prick, Smush probably doesn’t even think about Kobe, but everytime Kobe gets a chance he rips on Smush Parker, like the dude hasn’t been in the NBA in years just let it go.

    Crazy…

You can say a lot of things about LeBron, but one thing you’ve never heard was that he was a bad teammate. All LeBron’s teammates love him.

Article says team went out to dinner and Kobe had his own table in the corner by himself… That’s nuts. It’s sad that society puts guy like this on a pedestal.

I admire Kobe’s work ethic, skill and confidence in himself… But I wouldn’t say one word to this d*ck head if I seen him.

Smush wasn’t amazing, but he wasn’t bad, and definitely wasn’t the worst player on that team. He was actually a pretty good perimeter defender, and if I recall correctly got his fair share of steals as well. As far as offense he wasn’t much of a shooter but he had some pretty good moves to the basket, I think he averaged over 10pgg that year which again isn’t amazing but isn’t a slouch either.

I’m a pretty big Kobe fan despite his often questionable behavior, but this is just wrong.

I don’t think anyone called him the best teammate either but between Kobe and Jordan they have 11 rings. It’s ok to be nice but it is probably better to be a winner.
